I don't think that's true. I've purchased many items where Amazon claims made in China and when received the item is not made in China.

Great find, I just ordered the 48. I have the smaller metric-only Lang setup and it's a total lifesaver as someone wrenching on rusty old Toyotas. It would be great to have backups (plus some SAE ability) for a tool I now consider to be essential.

I took a chance on this one, will likely be out of stock or china but maybe I’ll get lucky. I probably won’t know anything until sometime next week. If it shows up I’ll likely keep it anyway as the price is decent.

I bought one a few years ago & a while later found one of the nuts threads were off. Called the company, they said sure we’ll send it but it never came even after repeated calls. Best to check it right away!

I don't forget....I usually don't care. I will pay a little more sometimes to find it easily, get it quickly, have lots of options, and an easy return process if need be.

With the Amazon credit card, I get 5% off too (that covers sales tax in my state)

Last week, I contacted Lang Tools to ask them the country of origin for their 971 rethreading kit. Bob Vartanian, a technical support rep for A&E Tools, replied to my email at 9:10 this morning. He said they are still made in the USA.
