That Drill Hog 29 piece set of Cobalt bits for $65 looked good. I had it in my cart several times, but let it go. 96% sold, so lots of folks took advantage.

good point, i had not seen it before.

not sure if there is a quality difference. maybe others know.

I haven't used the HF kit, but my I have used the Greenlee kit and it worked great. I used it at work to tap some panels. No idea about long term, it belonged to another electrician who I don't usually work with.

I'm picking one up so I can bring my Bosch kit home. Swapping between individual taps and drills when working in the air is kind of a PITA.

ok, i didnt buy anything yesterday. there were no prime day deals that were at all interesting to me.

i seem to remember that in previous years, there were a lot more things i was interested in, and i usually bought several things. was one of them a % off existing AWD prices?

anyway, if i wanted to buy something that was amazon branded, like a tablet or one of those creepy alexa things, i am sure they had great deals, but this year was kind of a bust.

I'm with you. Actually, I didn't even pay attention last year, or have Prime. I wasn't getting too worked up, but did search at times throughout the day. I kinda burned out on electronics, TVs, etc. I buy in phases and I'm in a tool phase right now. Fortunately, someone here posted the Wera insulated screwdrivers, so I grabbed those. I might have over spent, for a set of Felos last month. Probably overkill for what I need and these Wera could be just the ticket, though I'll probably prefer the grip of the Felo to the Wera.

I just kept searching names or models and never really came up with anything I needed. There was a nice $90 micrometer that went cheap. I also found a deal on LED flashlights a bit too late. Always nice to find them at a low price and toss in places I'll never find them

I might've gone a little crazy. They had a few things I was looking to try and then there were the impulse buys. Those drill bits caught my eye. And the makita grinder. I've never had a "good" grinder so I figured I'd give it a shot. And some wool socks. I've become a bit of a sock snob lately. Oh well, it was all **** I would've gotten elsewhere, probably for more money.

One other thing was a fire tablet for my mom. She's been using one of their first generation tablets since it came out and had been looking into a new one. So she'll be getting that in the mail sometime next week.

I bought a Fire HD8 on Prime Day for $49.99. I got a Fire 7 over a year ago and was disappointed in screen resolution and the sound quality.

The Fire HD8 is another story. WOW ! The screen is fantastic and it actually has stereo sound which is remarkably good !! The only downside I can say so far is that the average person can not "one hand" this device.

I can't wait to see what Amazon has in store for their next 10" tablet !

I picked up the Makita grinder as well. I didn't realize at the time that the expected delivery date is in August! I also bought the Porter Cable grinder PC60TAG. Any thoughts on comparing the two?
