Some Wera stuff has 20% coupon available.

I was hoping you had some deals to post when I saw this thread. I find there is way too much **** to wade thru, especially when you consider browsing the other sites trying to compete today.

I bought one of the joker wrenches to tryout did not work very well and kept wanting to strip the bolt. Contacted Wera through their website three times never got a response. Have not bought anything from them since.

Thus far, the best deals I’ve found were on Home Depot. Nothing earth shattering, but some past Milwaukee deals were back. The Dewalt brushless 20V drill with battery/charger is now $99, but Lowe’s has had that for weeks now. No Ryobi deals.

Upcoming on Amazon RDEER has an insulated screwdriver set for $33. I paid much more for the Filo brand. Probably no difference...

The one item I wanted, a tv, said coming soon. I walked away for 5, maybe 10 minutes, at no significant hour/half hour change. And it went live & already claimed. It wasn't as much off as I had thought, but Prime Day couldn't say it better. The non warehouse or price mistake deals are like prime numbers, the longer you have been a member the less deals it seems there are. I could get Prime for 1month a year to binge watch all the shows i currently enjoy.

$50 off $200 Bosch, prices won’t be great if you’re used to bargain hunting and buying used online or garage sales ... but if you’re the “I only buy new from major retailers” sort of person and if you’re in their battery ecosystem or the Sortimo-based BOXX system you can save a few bucks.

There is a $5 bonus if you purchase a $25 Amazon gift card and a $5 off $50 (sold and fulfilled by amazon) code, both are posted front page at Slickdeals.

I did purchase another dash cam with a 20% off coupon. This is a cheaper model than others but I've had one since last April and it has worked great with clear pictures. The biggest drawback is that it is not stealthy. $48 after coupon, the cheapest I have seen it since my original purchase.

Does this one have a bonafide loop mode when driving? I got a pricey Garmin one hard wired in the car, and the one time I needed it, turns out it only records and saves 6 (30 second) clips then deletes over them unless you manually press save. Really stupid system no way to modify that function even with giant memory card. I've been scared to buy a dash cam since. Just want something that can do 1-2 hours straight before looping over. And park mode.

I use an Aukey dash cam for the past 1.5 years. Mine records 10 minute chunks and fills the memory card before starting to erase old files. I get about a week’s worth of commuting on mine. No park mode on mine.

Irwin extractor set for around $41 plus you will save couple of bucks with slow shipping.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0002SRG66

Not sure how useful it is. But seems to have good reviews.

Thanks.

I bought that set awhile back, paid $52 and change. A friend had a leaking transmission pan with a broken off bolt, along with other issues. It was a bear of a job for an old guy who wears bifocals. Only the smallest extractor would work and of course the bolt was broken at an angle, besides the fact that I could barely fit, barely get any light, and I had one shot at getting a hole drilled dead center. Amazingly enough I got it. The extractor was excellent and I'm more than happy to have that extractor set, even at $52+, sitting in my tool box. Best of all no more leaking transmission pan with fluid splashing and burning on the muffler.

Is "prime day" a everything is on sale kind of event, or are there incredible deals on certain things?

I've never been a prime member until recently, so I don't know how it works.

^ There are mediocre deals on select items, just as there are any day of the year, except more of them at once. It's mostly a marketing thing, unless you are not picky about the make/model of the type of thing you want to buy.

"Incredible deals" are hit or miss, and depend on your definition of incredible. Most items with larger discounts were either premium priced before the discount, or slow movers that they want to get rid of.

I tried using this set to remove a broken exhaust manifold bolt. Drilled it on
center, started to twist this guy in with a wrench and it promptly sheared off into the bolt. Took me 2+ weeks to drill the hardened remnant back out..ended up having to use a masonry bit on it. I promptly shipped the broken piece and the rest of the kit back.

If you use it, use with care! If you break one, you'll be worse off than you started.

I haven't seen too many good deals on tools, but I snagged an Instapot for my mother-in-law for Christmas, and I grabbed a couple packs of firetv with echo dot, one for $13 and one for $8. Not sure if I'll keep some or sell, but for those prices I couldn't pass.
I've already got a dot in the garage, and one in the FL room, but one is a 2nd gen so I might replace that one.

I've never been a prime member until recently, so I don't know how it works.

For me every one of these Prime days has been about dangling a few items in very limited quantities at normal sale prices to draw in the suckers, with the real agenda of pushing their own Kindle and Echo electronics and categories like clothes or furniture that normally sell poorly.

Amazon.de has few Hazet items on their Prime Day. I'm not sure if US Prime works in this case. Its funny to see some of the same Sunex and Capri on both sides with .de being more expensive- imports and 19% VAT probably account for most of the difference. The exchange rate isn't too bad right now.

It does not work. I was on Germany's site trying to scope out their prime deals (on their "domestic" tools), hoping to find some screaming good deals. When I'm logged into Germany's site using my Amazon credentials, it doesn't recognize I'm a prime member and prompts me to join. Without joining it will not let me browse the prime eligible items. So your prime membership is tied to your region even though you can order from other Amazon regions.
