Interesting, it still shows up for me right now. Are you already a prime member? When I click on the "Join Prime" button it gives me the choice between $79.99/year or $7.99/month.

Yes, you get streaming movies similar to Netflix. There is also $3.99 overnight shipping. That is handy when you really need something quickly that you can't find local, but you have to be careful, because it is PER ITEM. OK if you need one big item - i.e, pool filter goes out, but bad if you are buying several small tools!

It will quickly pay for itself if you do any Christmas shopping at all, and is easy to cancel the auto-renewal. Even at the $79/year, it is a huge bargain if you buy any quantity from Amazon. Got my money back many, many times over. I'm a fan...

Don't you get "free supersaver shipping" on anything over...what...$50 everyday?

Actually it's 25bucks. And it's really hit and miss. Generally I get whatever I "super saver shipped" within a week but from now till after Christmas... Good luck because you become last priority. Last year took me 2 1/2 weeks to get something I super saver shipped between thanksgiving and Christmas. The $7.99 a month is a great idea for the holidays IMO

Yes, but I believe that's actually only $25.00 or over purchases. At $7.99 per month it comes out to $95.88 a year, or $79.99 for the annual subscription. I still don't get the big deal for this? I'd rather wait an extra day or two to receive my orders and put that money towards the cost of a new tool! Maybe I'm just looking at this all wrong?:headscrat

I did most of my Xmas shopping on Amazon last year (and all through the year as well) and don't recall ever having a problem with slow shipping. Not disputing. Maybe I was just lucky.

Also, can I join for $7.99 and use it all through the holidays, then cancel at the end of December, after the holidays? Something doesn't sound right here? You know what they say: "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't".

first time I had axle shafts, a roll cage and tools overnight for $4 it paid for itself. I love prime, it allows me to get 100 lb parts shipped overnight, it lets me get stuff I cant get here 110 miles from the nearest wal-mart. I joined when it was yearly only, have renewed it twice and I'll continue to pay $80 / year as long as the prime criteria keeps turning up good results.

Prime is so dangerous. Cost me lots of money being able to have items so quickly at usually the best price around. Amazon is usually my basis for whether I'll buy something in a store or not, usually I just go to a store to see an item in person not buy it there lol.
