Read Carefully!
The title says "ratchet rebuild kit" but the description, picture and part number are that of the SK 11-piece 1/2" drive impact socket set (note: these are 12pt impacts). This set was considered a hot deal on GJ for $49.12 all the way back in 2007 Old GJ thread w/same exact link to set here

It says out of stock on Amazon, but I'd give it a try while the price is so good. Worst case is either:
A.) They cancel your order 'cause it can't be fulfilled or
B.) They send you a rebuild kit which is easy to return

But I'm fairly certain if you order this and Amazon can get the tools they'll send you the 11-piece set worth at least $100 street price. I took the chance I'll let you know how it works out in a couple weeks when/if they fill the order. Check it out!

OP >> Thanks for the heads-up. That is cheap money for the SK impact socket set.

Does anyone know if there is a way to contact Amazon to demystify this discrepancy between Title and description/pic/part#?

I tend to agree that this is just an error in the Title, but I'd rather just find out ahead of time.

TIA
Paul

If you contact them, they'll just cancel. Best to wait it out. The part number is for the sockets.

Paul, the shipping weight is over 4 lbs, plus the picture and SK # match, so I think it's ok.

These are SAE, right? Not sure what you guys are using twelve point SAE impacts for, but good deal for whomever needs them.

I ordered one. My best friend works for the sewer treatment plant. He is always rebuilding pumps etc. I figured it will make a good birthday or Christmas present for him. He can use them as reg sockets w/ a ratchet.

This forum is like Hoarders, tool edition. There doesn't have to be a need, as long as it's cheap, there'll be some buyers.:rocker:

I mean, I guess everyone has a threshold for frivolous purchasing for stuff that'll almost never use, mine is usually under $10 or 90% off.

Agreed. I am a DIYer and I have two 3 tier boxes full plus a tool cart, but yet I keep buying.....

My grandma who is 81 told me a man can never have to many tools. Good advice from grandma

It's probably for the actual set seeing that a rebuild kit for a 1/4 ratchet probably doesn't have a $100 dollar price tag (plus the description states the set). The real issue is that these are sae. Hahahahaha.

Just got this e-mail from Amazon:
We have good news! We're able to get this part of your order to you faster than we originally promised:

"SK Hand Tools Rebld Kit Ratch Prof 1/4Dr"
Previous estimated arrival date: June 17, 2014 - June 30, 2014
New estimated arrival date: June 10, 2014

However, the other item arrived, but instead of being a 10pc set of metric 12pt 1/2" Dr. impact sockets, it was indeed a 1/2" ratchet rebuild kit and is on it's way back to Amazon

Just for clarification, the 10pc Metric set showed up as a rebuild kit, still waiting on the 11pc SAE set.

I got an email stating that two packages have arrived at my home from Amazon, which should be both the metric and SAE "sets". I won't be home until tomorrow evening, so I don't know what they shipped. I will post again when I find out.

I cancelled my order. The 12pt sockets aren't even listed in my sk catalog. And it's a newer catalog. Not rolling the dice on this.
