I have seen a couple threads on the subject. But looking for some more recently. Who has one? What do you have? Ballencer too? Going to be a couple months still before I get my shop up. I have 32 tires in my collection and most will need charging soon.

Cordless tires, that you have to charge?

Damm spell check! No but some are pretty much Bluetooth.

Doing this on a phone with no glasses is not helping!

And yes many are indeed cordless. That’s the part that keeps the air in right?

I was right here about 6 months ago. This is only my advice, so take it for what you paid....I almost bought one off of Amazon. I got to looking around and found the same machine sold directly from THE Mayflower guy? but was less money and same or better machine. So, I placed and order and shockingly had an email confirmation and phone call within 30 minutes to confirm shipping address. Fast forward about 2-3 hours and a fellow on Marketplace I had inquired about his tire machine / wheel balancer for sale accepted my offer! So, I called the Mayflower guy back real quick and he said no problem, and immediately refunded my money. I was shocked and almost bought his anyway. Ultimately I ended up with the 10-12 year old Atlas tire machine and manual balancer. But, if I was looking to do it again and good cheaper used wasn't an option I would not hesitate to go direct to Mayflower. Link is below. I believe he is on the West coast and not great English but not bad.

Tire machines

As for the tire machines, you'll get 100 different answers. But mine is basic, no arms etc. Has a bead blaster but is worthless. I put some elbow grease in it and $50 in it and love it. The manual balancer is not bad. I've only done a few so far. The hardest part was calibrating it in non english translated english if you know what I mean. These lower end home hobby shop tire machines are pretty much all the same.

I do know some folks who have bought the packaged electronic wheel balancers and they are hit or miss. Calibration is long winded on them as well, and if there's a power outage you have to recalibrate. I was eyeing a nice manual spin balancer, but they were North of $1700 and more than I could justify.

I have a cheap Harbor Freight tire changer. A manual deal, it just mounts the tire and wheel to something so you can fight with it easier. I did buy a different demount bar. I use it mostly for motorcycle tires, but i have swapped car tires with it too. I was surprised the first time I did a car tire as it pealed it off and back on easily.
I have since modified it even more and added a duck bill like a powered changer and it works better yet!
