Looks like it's worth it just for the battery packs alone, but I'm not invested into a Bosch system.

Amazon seems to pretty much follow whatever is the lowest online prices (excluding any coupons or codes). Home Depot had a sale on compressors a while back, Amazon followed. HD sale is over, Amazon price goes back up.

I was just looking at this exact same deal. It doesn't looked marked down online, but it was definitely a promo. They only had 1 left on my store and it looked like it was marked half off.

Looks like it's $160-170 everywhere else.

Batteries look good, they're supposedly the Redlithiums, which are the revised ones.

Amazon puts a lot of (computerized) effort into matching or beating prices, using "crawlers" that check all over the web for prices.

I wish they'd get into Milwaukee. Looks like all the fulfilled-by-Amazon Milwaukee stuff is from 3rd party sellers still.

That one does not have a drill with a chuck. A chuckless drill combined with an impact seems redundant

I've borrowed that "redundant" screwdriver Doan is referring to... It is limited in use, but nice to have a powered screwdriver around when putting together cheap furniture that seams to come with a million screws/fasteners. I would keep a phillips head in it, and a 1/4" adapter in the impact driver.

It was a Black Friday deal that just stuck around if there were any left after BF. my store had several afterward

Bosch GCM12SD miter saw for $640. I know it says out of stock but it was in stock Saturday night and again this afternoon before I nabbed one. This beats Amazon's best ever price by $30.

Keep your eyes on the page and they may get some more in stock.

I went over the same thing again and again, between the Dewalt, Ridgid, and Bosch saws. There were two things that really made the difference, the upfront controls (which both the Ridgid and Bosch have) and the space savings of the Bosch.

The other thing that kept coming up that bothered my about the Dewalt were the complaints about the slides not being very smooth, even compared to other railed sliders. I went to a few stores to feel it out and the Dewalt did feel rougher.

I've read some reports about the arm not being aligned properly (so if you make one miter cut on a wide board, rotate it 180 deg and cut from the other side, the cuts don't align...but I have a feeling that's people using non-square stock for tests too), and the bed not being flat. Make sure to check those once you get it, although the overwhelming majority of the reviews are positive.

I might pull the trigger soon myself, but from an "unauthorized" dealer. Hoping it comes back in stock at HD.com, but I haven't seen it come back yet and I've been refreshing pretty regularly.

Well I was checking every two hours or so, but I think the one got might have been a fluke. I got a email yesterday saying it was on back order and would ship as soon as it came back in stock. I hope they don't cancel, but I figure I've got them since it let my order through.

On another note I got an email my table saw is on it's way to the store.

Another good one (if I hadn't just bought a set of the XC batteries, I'd be all over this). M12 cordless grease gun with 2 XC batteries (one is the newer 4.0ah) for $34 more than just a pair of standard XC batteries.

If you've never used a cordless grease gun, they make you want to throw away your hand or air operated gun. Smoother flow, which makes for WAY less mess, and no sore hands when done.
