I snagged this, thanks, much to some members' relief...however...
UPS delivered it and left it in the rain/sleet/snow today, in front of my garage...despite having a large covered porch available (where they've left heavier packages in the past).
The cardboard box was significantly damaged...and now beyond reuse given how soaked it got (it fell apart in my unpacking)...AND the Homak box is significantly damaged with multiple bends and sundry damage to the top and mating surfaces which prevents it from closing. Basically every corner of the cabinet is damaged as well...so now I have to work with Amazon on this...awesome...
Amazon is saying it was listed as "new" on their site so they're trying to figure out what to do with this since they're not exactly motivated to replace a box I paid 300 for with a box that's now on their site for 1k. Haha.
They want me to go buy a box and ask for reimbursement and get this thing to UPS for a return while they send me a replacement...geez...this is ridiculous
I am sorry you have to deal with the return. I was hoping that it being new and not a warehouse deal it would have been a better experience. The black one I ordered arrived with only a small ding in the edge trim.
I have limited my posting on the oversized items because as others have said the damage can be pretty bad and even though Amazon is usually pretty good with returns it is still a pain to get it back to them. However, it sounds like in your case they are balking so I would have them send a label and I would slap it on the bare metal and call UPS for a pickup or better yet have them arrange for pick up since they use local LTL drivers in some cases. That’s who dropped off mine.
