There is a story behind it. It is mostly tools, but not all.

There was an AWD tool thread and folks were complaining about Duker posting some non tool items so he started this thread.

Then everyone abandoned the old thread migrated here and left the miscreants behind I guess.
It's anarchy! Anarchy, I say! Left unchecked, people will be posting TEXT instead of photos in the WTF Picture thread.
Cats will lie down with dogs and rivers will run uphill. Now where's that report button so I can report myself?

And then people will be making general discussions in the Hot Deals threads too.
Just imagine the anarchy when thousands of watchers get a notification, only to be disappointed when someone's reply Does Not contain a Deal.

I have the chrome version and it is one of my favorite ratchets. I also have one in 1/2" drive.

I have an 80 year old one I like, and if it ever wears out I can buy a recently manufactured OEM repair kit. Talk about buy once cry once.

I have a oh, l don't know about 12-14 in Long, half inch drive like that proto. It's a nice ratchet it's coarse teeth but it's still nice.
You don't always need real fine teeth.

Just a word of caution on the warehouse deals.
I ordered a GB80 that was supposed to be "like new in original packaging" and what I received was loosely packaged in a brown box, broken, missing several pieces and clearly used.
This was directly from Amazon.
You win some you lose some, just a heads up.

I bought one of these made by Schumacher as a warehouse deal. It wouldn't charge up so I contacted Amazon. They would of course refund my money but not replace it so I contacted Schumacher. They not only sent me a replacement but they sent the newer model and let me keep the old one so I have double the attachments. Might be worth contacting NOCO.

Interesting. Normally its a huge negative b/c the invoice says 'used.'

It is a bummer that Sunex moved it's impact manufacturing to China.
So Sunex is not made as well today then l take it?
l have a set of metric swivel sockets and a small set of SAE ones that are easily 40 years old they are great, only broke one, one time but l had used a 1/2>3/8 reducer on the real powerful IR 1/2" impact.

I've purchased over 100 items from the Amazon Warehouse. Got burned 3 times. Painless return... so actually didn't get burned at all. Just didn't get what I WISHED I would have gotten.

Same here. I’ve never considered it to be much of a gamble since the stuff is usually in good shape. And if it’s not then I just return it.

So I can't say that. Maybe they are just fine, but I have broken more Chinese make sockets and never a Taiwan made impact.

Anything you don’t like can be returned, so I don’t feel too put out. However, I have experienced the wrong item being sent, receiving only one of an item instead of a package of 10, and some things arriving damaged. I believe most of the damage was from inadequate packing. The UPS store is less than two miles away. And the pricing can be fantastic. Many items won’t ship to my location, but once the hit a warehouse deal, they will deliver to Hawaii. For free:)

I avoid batteries... Tools that include batteries. Those were the three burns for me. Durham cabinets come dented... We have tools... Use them to remove the dents. Its not hard...

I'm not impressed with the quality of their tools now. Opinions will vary.

I've gotten a fair amount of damaged items due to poor packaging from regular Amazon.
Listerine that looks like it was frozen and popped the top off,
Jar of mayonnaise leaking and gone bad,
But Amazon always replaced it or refunded my money whatever I wanted.
