I just had the same thing with some wire cup brushes that were supposed to be a pack of 10…. Got on Chat and this time they refunded me and let me keep it but lately they have been making me return the items.
I am still battling with them over a deceptive listing for T&B Zip Ties.
Listing was for a quantity of (1000), I received a small factory sealed bag of (100).
They keep sending me a reminder to return (1000) ties or they will charge me for them. Hard to return 10X what I received.
Mujibar and Jignesh in online chat have helpfully refunded my original purchase amount (twice) but I keep getting emails threatening to charge me for not returning the item...

In what world? Every torx I come across strips
In 25 years I've never once stripped a torx screw. Twisted off a few bits on rusty hardware, but never stripped a head. Dunno what cheese-grade fasteners you've been dealing with.

edit; correction, I've stripped exactly one. It was a very small countersunk screw holding the handguard on an AR-15. Got it loose with a center punch and drift punch to bust it loose after stripping. Only one out of probably thousands I've encountered.

Ok, great if you want to use Torx. But why does the new Harley I bought use Torx, E-Torx, Hex, regular bolts, and phillips and slotted screws? Pick one darned fastener type and stick with it.
Because its parts were made in 7+ different countries. Last I checked the engines were mostly made from USA parts, and the frames were made here. Pretty much everything else comes from some other country. Lots of China and Mexico, some Italy, Taiwan, Japan, etc.

You’re probably using the wrong size bit, or a cheap unhardened bit.

I reluctantly chose to use some Phillips and square drive (Robinson?) screws this morning for a project, just to use them up.

I forgot how much I hate them, especially the Phillips.

I threw away my slotted screws long ago.

My BMW has 10x times as many of each.…

Buy some good torx bits and you shouldn’t have this problem.……. I am a big fan of torx head fasteners.

I find it depends a lot on the task. Big stuff, I like Torx.

Small stuff, not so much. A M1.6 stainless steel button head screw uses a T5 and those are really easy to strip out. Philips is surprisingly much better. For even smaller stuff like 1.00 UNM and below, slotted is king.

I have done it using the wrong size torx.

Some external Torx can be stripped if not fully seated. There is some discussion in another thread about the different flanges or chamfers on etorx socket brands and how some fit better than others. You can also get the size wrong on etorx and strip.

How are you managing to strip torx heads? I didn't even think that was practically possible.
Seen couple of complaints here regarding ratchets and stripping them trying to take them apart. Seen the same related to T6 and smaller on knives. It is one reason I purchased the grip edge set.

Love the torx construction fasteners with the outside coatings. MUCH better that phillips for outside stuff. Like stated above, get the right tip. A lot of times, the containers have the correct bit in the box WITH them. You end up with several when you do much.
I just finished removing hundreds of 2x2 redwood deck and fence pickets that were secured with coated #20 Torx head construction screws. They were installed in 2023. IMG_20250719_151059190_HDR.jpg
Put up a new 16x24 redwood framed dog run and 100+' of new redwood framed deck railings, used only the screws I removed for the entire project. Didn't have to buy any new. Used the same #T20 bit to remove and install thousands of screws. I had spares, but there was no need to change. IMG_20250819_132938753_HDR.jpg
IMG_20250713_183022072_MP.jpgNever stripped a bit or a screw, and the bit is still usable. M12 screwgun and Torx for the win.

As always, YMMV.
