Well.... that just plain *****..... Sorry about that....

I just had a Makita AWD deal where someone swapped out some no name batteries for the 18V Makita’a I thought I bought.****

Hopefully, it will be a painless return for you.... It does piss me off that these low life’s pull this $hit but also the fact that no one at Amazon bothers to look.....

I'd really love to know how/when amazon decides to take a return and sell it via warehouse vs. salvage/liquidation auction? I purchase quite a bit of the 'scrap' side, mostly the same as you listed above, broken, swapped out & missing valuable parts, or clearly fraud. You win some, you lose some.

However, if it doesn't make the various grades of salvage, why are they bothering to list on their warehouse page w/out full inspection?

For recent example, i purchased a few Jeep seats. First one listed as "like new" with a huge box cutter slice in it (returned). Second one used, very good was perfect (kept). 3rd one had a minor imperfection and they credited me 50% back.

It still boggles me why they are selling used items, especially considering most of us will simply ship them back (on their dime). Why not simply salvage everything that doesn't look 100% new/unused?

Id picked this up when you posted it. The item description was actually pretty spot on for once. But it was a 10lber instead of the 8lber. Im ok with that myself but amazes me that the "inspected by" person would miss it lol. Its only stamped in large letter on the head.

Thanks again, Duker!

It's interesting to think that the deals you post here are the ones that you pass on! I would be curious about which finds you actually keep for yourself!

I was on a tear for awhile but lately, most of my buys have been items for projects or supplies for my new shop. I just bought a flooring nailer and some staples for the pine flooring I am installing. I bought a Samson air hose reel (which is a beast) but I posted it here first before I ended up buying it. I have slowed down as my Visa bill was approaching “life ending (as in mine) levels” as stated by my wife! At my peak my ratio was buying about one for every five I posted but is now probably closer to one for every twenty.
