Conntek 70046-L530 Up to 15-Feet Heavy Duty 12/3 Coiled Spring Cord 30-Amp 125V L5-30 Plug with Drop Grip to U.S 15/20-Amp Female Connector

Down from $44.99 to $12.95

I can't post links yet but B00DVE8ZPE finds it.

All the Christmas decorations on sale at Costco inspired me to search on extension cords :)

I did buy one, but actually for my small shop where I have to push/pull things around all the time.

Does anyone know why stuff from amazon warehouse deal have UPC covered up
And serial number cut out on the box. Is this always the case?
I have gotten things as cheap as a dvd or expensive audio electronics

There is one serial number with the upc sticker and I think there a second more dedicated sticker they have cut out or pasted over. (may have been trying to cut another sticker from it)

Actual unit have not been tampered with though.

Here is a pic..

It's probably a form of Amazon inventory control to note that the item was returned, then re-sold at something less than 'new' condition. Perhaps to stop folks from trying to return it as a new item?

I'd say that cover the barcode so it doesn't accidentally get scanned along the way. I've only seen that when the outer box is meant for retail display.

I totally agree the AWD stickers are obnoxious. They really go out of their way to cover up any identifiers INCLUDING size or type....

eg I order a lot of drill bits and when I receive them I like to see what size they are on the envelope (most jobber bits and shorter come in heavy paper envelopes) to 1) get an idea of what I just received and 2) see if the product inside matches what they presumably *thought* was inside based upon the envelope identifiers, meaning I likely got what I actually ordered as I rarely remember without referencing my online account

eg on TYPE just today I received a 2 pack of H11 bulbs and they put white paper right over the big H11 on the packaging card. This will be hung in my shop until needed and I like to have the packaging visible for identification just as you would choose your bulbs in the parts store

I also order a lot of end mills and the high end end mills I'll leave in the telescoping sq tubes and use the manufacturer label to identify type, size etc in my drawer but AWD works damn hard at putting a sticker over any characters or numerals, and they rarely peel off cleanly without taking the underlying original sticker w them.

Honestly if they trained people to inspect the Warehouse products with as much care as they diligently exercise covering up stickers they'd see the return rate drop by over 50%. I received a slew of AWD this week and several are going back for dumb reasons: an end mill that was obviously heavily used and abused, a RIGHT HAND side mirror is not a LEFT HAND side mirror, etc

well I guess they are covering the upc because the awd barcode contains all the extra information they need and prevent it from moving back as new inventory. I personally don’t think it is to stop someone from doing a return fraud or resell the unit in other channels. Thanks for the insight. Was just curious.

The individual that bought it first may have removed the bar code for return shipping. That is if the box was the outside carton. Just a thought.
