A bunch of the things in my cart I've just been watching have climbed in price. I find their reasoning fascinating: it's still not selling after repeated price drops so let's increase the price

and then, in a few days, it will drop again.

I bet that when they do this, a bunch of people sitting with the item in their cart pull the trigger, happy that it is "back down".

As do I. There is no doubt in my mind there is a method to their madness and they are making a bundle in the process. Psychology majors play a major part in all markets from the stock market to Amazon. The majority of the people are getting fleeced. A few stragglers grabbing a few crumbs is meaningless and most of those succumb to the game eventually.

I'm guilty of it too - considering ordering before the price(s) climb more. But then I realized it's like the stock market - I'll just wait it out.

Plus anything in AWD that I leave in my cart to watch is stuff I don't really need and secretly hope someone will snag before I spend $ unnecessarily. Or I figure if I get lucky and it floors at pennies on the dollar, what the hell "I can probably find a use for it..... eventually"

[I usually test these to make sure the embedded URL takes you to the page shown in the image. tonight, about a third took you back to the root page. going back to the "offer listing" page, grabbing the URL again, and replacing it here has fixed it so far tonight, although this one steadfastly refuses to take you to the offering page. YMMV]
