Guys, thank you for the thoughts and prayers. So far the kidney is functioning well and no clotting. My son’s color is already improving and he is eating like a horse. All good signs! Thanks again for the comments.

Ended up buying one of these, the blades are plastic with a tiny bit of metal on the edge, oh well for $7 i can't complain.
