Lets see if this works. Found some stuff poking around, let me know if it is the right kind of thing for this thread. Sorry I don't have the nice pictures Duker does.

Hey doesn’t matter how the deals get here... deals are deals and thanks for posting them!

I picked up the drum dolly too. Going to see if I can find a way to use it for moving around some of the 5 or 6 sets of wheels I've got laying around.

Although, my wife's inconceivable solution is to reduce the number of wheels.

Hopefully better than the 5gal bucket trolly posted last week. Only had 1 wheel.

I use the small HF $6 furniture dollies for car and the large dollies for truck wheels (cut and screw a piece of plywood to the dollie if needed).

Alright. Gonna start posting up deals on files at times. They can be "bought" sometimes on backorder and occasionally get shipped. Most get cancelled or requested to get cancelled for a few months at times (last one in limbo for me is about 1 year limbo). You won't be charged until it ships, but it will still be an odd duck kinda thing that occasionally happens.

This is an example of one you could order, but it may be in limbo or just outright cancelled:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085M1MLS2/?tag=atomicindus08-20

What you search for is packs. You order files via prime/amazon selling as you'll get the best result if they screw up (page and order for pack of 10, they sent one. Single box of 10, they sent single file). It means if you buy correctly though, you'll be getting these multi packs for the price of usually a single file.

3rd parties will almost always (not completely though) claim they're only selling a single file, so unless it's prime guarenteed, it's probably not worth it unless you're find sending it back (hence, prime for free returns).

Larger sizes tend to be in smaller packs due to size and weight. They tend to come in boxes with oil paper seperating each file. It's worth it if you are needing files, or have friends you can pawn them off on for the cost of a single anyways.

This is a prime example: $12.16 - Crescent Nicholson 08642N 10" Mill Single Cut ******* File - 12/Box
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000W0ENAQ/?tag=atomicindus08-20

$30.09 - Crescent Nicholson 07719N 14" Flat Single Cut Long Angle Lathe ******* File - 6/Box
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00018ABQ4/?tag=atomicindus08-20

$15.72 - Crescent Nicholson 07941N 12" Flat Magicut File - 6/Box
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00018ABQO/?tag=atomicindus08-20

You can usually find one listing and browse related to skip past all the amazon search engine junk they spam in there. It's always hit or miss, and you may need to contact them if they shorted you, but it's well worth it for when you get them.
I only posted a few, bought a few as well. Sorry for the paper.

Reccomended for people who like to file on things for fun.:lol_hitti

*EDIT*
Forgot to say, if you only need a few files, get a 6" Fine, 6" Coarse, 12" corse, 8" *******. That'll hold you over for the most part. The 12" will do most of the heavy work, the 6" corse is for smaller spaces, the bastards are great for middle weight, and the fine for the obvious.

Thanks for posting. I just bought more files than I can use in three lifetimes. My friends and family will be thrilled with the freebies.

Maglite hasn’t made a good flashlight in 20+ years. Looks at brands like Sofirn, Lumintop, Wurkkos, Emisar instead.

agreed. and besides, incandescent is obsolete. especially on battery power!

get LED with 18650 or 21700 rechargeable battery. i'd look at zebralight, personally.

Maglite has plenty of good lights, just don't buy cheap legacy models.

They're not terrible if your in a store and need something right now. But I wouldn't make a special effort to buy one. There are a lot of better lights out there at every price point. Most of what they're offering is 10+ year old technology, and LEDs and the batteries to power them have come a long long way since then.

Even LED maglites aren't very good. I'm not even a big flashlight guy, and I know plenty of better options. Even the cheap LED flashlights that use cheap, garbage cells from Amazon outperform any Maglite. It's not even the best flashlight that is sorta Maglight-esk available at a big box store, the Milwaukee pen light is much better...and pretty much any LED pen light by Craftsman or Husky will work as well or better than Maglite.

If you are considering jumping in on the EDC really good flashlite bandwagon, check out Mr Certainly's post on a recent Toolguyd post. I'm considering jumping into that world after reading that post.

There are certainly better lights than Maglights, but the led ones are decent. Good for around the house. I EDC a Fenix or a Trulite.

i have a few zebralights that i like a lot. make sure to buy batteries too. i like having n+1 batteries, where n = the number of flashlights you own that take a given type of battery. just get them from zebralight for convenience. they sell good ones.

headlamp:

H600w IV http://www.zebralight.com/H600w-Mk-IV-18650-XHP35-Neutral-White-Headlamp_p_215.html
if i could only have one flashlight, it would be this headlamp. so useful.
18650 battery

flashlights:

SC700d http://www.zebralight.com/SC700d-21700-XHP702-Neutral-White-High-CRI-Flashlight_p_233.html
their biggest, most powerful flashlight. it's actually tiny compared to a mag light. still pocketable. it uses the slightly larger 21700 battery.

SC600w IV Plus http://www.zebralight.com/SC600w-Mk-IV-Plus-18650-XHP502-Neutral-White-Flashlight_p_225.html
smaller than the SC700d but almost as powerful. 18650 battery. if you only want one non-headlamp flashlight and you're not sure what to get, just get this one.

SC64w HI http://www.zebralight.com/SC64w-HI-18650-XHP35-Neutral-White-High-Intensity-Flashlight_p_232.html
even smaller still. small enough to not really notice carrying. nice little pocket thrower. the beam is focused enough that it's not useless outdoors. this is my EDC light.

I received most of the order yesterday. All of them were individual files (1/box). I’m waiting for the rest so I can have a chat with Amazon and see what they’re willing to do, but it doesn’t look good. It’s probably best to steer clear of this one.

That **** compared to almost anything else on the market. My Fenix PD25 EDC light is better than any product in the maglite catalogue.
Yeah but you cant thump someone with that pd25 like you can with a maglight. Its 1 part flashlight and 1 part self defense weapon.

Just an FYI on the box of 10" files. I recieved one file in the mail yesterday. I filed a complaint with amazon, the company refunded my money and said keep the file. This was an instant refund no emailing. I will enjoy my file.

I've found and ordered a lot of deals like this from Amazon. The product title, description, and picture can often be wrong. The item number and especially the item and packaging weight listed further down the page are almost never wrong. The file linked in the OP was listed with an item weight of 4oz, so the title on Amazon is definitely wrong.

Well I got the LED maglight in the mail today... batteries are in it and the **** is stuck in place... anyone experienced that before? I could just return it but I'd like to keep it if it's an easy fix...
