Amazon Warehouse- Wrong item? Counterfeit? Old Stock?

I ordered this Wright metric ratcheting box wrench within Amazon Warehouse deals. I know many people have been screwed over from some of these purchases when the original purchaser substitutes the expensive tool for like a harbor freight copy. Heres why I'm suspect of the tool:
- The picture of the item on Amazon, and all I can find through google show the socket area of the item to be gold/brass in colour and 6 point. This is also described in the description. Mine is 12 point and black.

- Wright's number for this item is 9418, and this seems to correctly relate to the original picture, and does not appear to match the item I have (6pt vs 12 pt). Though it is still engraved into the item.

- The edges of the tool seem poorly finished, and definitely are not on spec with some of the immaculate beautiful regular combo wrenches I have from Wright.

-The Socket/gear part of the tool has a lot of side slop. Maybe this just inherent to the design?

So I figure this is either the wrong item, an old item, or least likely a counterfeit one. Maybe someone who has these can comment in comparison? Thanks

most likely its the right tool, and its just not that great of a tool lol

As per my initial post, I bought this through Amazon Warehouse deals, so I did not pay the price you're seeing through 3rd party. The price I paid from Amazon Warehouse deals is no longer listed as I purchased it. The link posted, is just the link to the item. The price changes all the time as people purchase it.

You may be right about it just not being a great tool. However the description explicitly says 6 pt, and appears to have a brass colour on the socket portion. Along with bad side to side slop, when I've seen nothing but great quality in previous wright tool purchases that I have.

I would contract Wright directly - they are the only ones who can say definitively if the tool is authentic or counterfeit. Give them a call, they are nice.

Wrights ratcheting wrenches are rebranded from Kastar or whatever there parent company is today. Maybe Lang?

Look at the image from that page that has the catalog from Wright. The correct product is 12 point. It looks like Royal Supply is the one who submitted product description and it is incorrect.

I would talk to Amazon and complain that the title is incorrect. If you wanna keep it, I would try to see if they will give you an additional discount otherwise return it (they should pay shipping since its their description that is wrong).
