Have about 90 items in my wishlist at the moment. About 75 of them probably relating to tools. Seem to ticked off about 5 or 6 items a month. Yes its unhealthy.

Just used mine today, bought a 9/32 SK combo wrench as filler to get free shipping on something I needed. Being organized like that helps a lot...

I just went over 1800 items a few minutes ago.

I blame Amazon's Chrome plug-in that allows me to add products from other sites.

I save a LOT of bookmarks, but lose track of them. My Amazon wishlist helps me keep track of interesting products to buy, follow, or follow up on.

I don't use amazon anymore. Necessary casualty after that free shipping increase. Not cool ama-bros.

Seriously? Over a whole $10? I wish more places only had a $35 threshold for free shipping. The Add-on program I find mildly uncool as a Prime member, but... it also lowered prices on a lot of that piddly stuff that would be a buck or two in stores, but they were charging $5+ to cover shipping and handling. So, I get it. Although it thoroughly confuses me when I buy some Add-on items and regular items, and everything ships in its own box.

I find it hard to beat their service, though. Between my Milwaukee addiction and Jetski parts I've had to go elsewhere a lot over the last year or so. And most of those times, I've wished I coulda bought from amazon instead. Between CPO not being able to take my money anymore for some reason, and one of my 'ski orders getting screwed up 3 times, it makes you miss excellent service.

Oh, and I think I have about 300 items in my list. And I just went through not too long ago and culled out a ton of stuff I was no longer interested in. My name is Ben, and I have a problem.

From personal experience you gotta be careful folks don't buy things off your wish lists for presents. My daughter did that, trouble is I bought it earlier and never took it off.

People ask me for gift ideas and I always e-mail my wish lists from Amazon, harbor freight, and home depot. Year after year I end up with nothing from those lists

I've been chipping away at mine faster than I add stuff now. Down to a little over a page of stuff, and some of it is just to reference cost and part numbers.

That said, I have 2 orders coming in the mail that were split up into 5 different shipments, arriving over a 3 day period.

I shop on Amazon a lot, but what kind of tool items are you guys buying on Amazon that isn't normally cheaper elsewhere?

I'm in Australia, I'll normally end up paying around $40-$100 in shipping depending on the items in the order. And I'll probably save around 30-50% on retail here. Ridiculous. $25 knipex pliers will be >$60 on special in Australia, so I can absorb $10's shipping for the item and still come out 40% ahead.

It's costly to live in this beautiful country.

Oh I also forgot, pretty much the best brand you can get in Australia is a limited selection of Irwin or Bahco, so the range at Amazon is comparatively mind blowing.

(We do have Snap-on trucks though, which are nearly double the price in the USA.)
