I was not able to log in to the internet for the past several days. Today I logged in and the first thing I did was check amazon.com. I seemed to have lost all the information I have in My Account. Past orders, billing and shipping info etc... even the items in My Cart are missing. Anybody experienced amazon acting up strange lately.

I just sent their customer service an email regarding this.

Thanks . ..

I was just on there a few minutes ago and all of my information is still there. Were you logged in to the site? Sometimes my spyware program automatically deletes cookies requiring me to log into the sites that I frequently visit.

Maybe I'll wait some time and see what happens.

Sounds like they're on top of the situation. I'd give them a little time to get things together before I'd panic....

That happened to me a few days ago. It seems to be a side effect of a system update or something similar.

I currently have 212 items in my shopping cart (most saved for later), I REALLY hope they're not purging carts or suffering problems, or anything like that.

Everything under control now.

I'm very satisfied on how quick amazon customer service responds. Hopefully it stays that way always.

tks for all your replies.

They're not all in my active cart; all but 11 are "saved for later."

Whenever I check my cart in Amazon, it alerts me to how the prices have changed since I last checked my cart. That's how I find out about a lot of their "sales" - in most cases those are items that I'm interested in, and large price drops are automatically announced. Since I check my cart relatively often, I usually have quick notice and am able to take advantage of low prices and/or announce the product to the forum, allowing others to take quick advantage of a new low price.

Stuey's still a student on a paltry income. Stuey's also been married 14 months now, and Stuey's wife is starting to say "no" and "do you really need it" and "can't you use your credit card's reward gift cards instead of cash" to Stuey's random purchases.

Note: Stuey's not trying to immitate or mock Elroy. This is a one-time thing because Stuey's tired and likes typing his name.
