Hi- I just joined this forum cuz I built a new garage for my AMCs and am looking for a 4 post lift. Most of the hobbyist lifts I've looked at online have a narrow outside runway to outside runway dimension. The rear tires of my Javelin would be very close to the edge with those. One that would give me a decent width is the Bend Pak HD9 ($3500), without having a real big footprint in my garage. But I also found the United Products SS-8000XLT for $2500 which is longer. My concern with this one is I don't want a piece of junk. I always feel that you get what you pay for, but I don't need a professional quality lift when you can get a decent one and save a little money. I read the thread from the guy who bought a 2 post from United Products and pretty much regrets it. Any suggestions?
Thanks
JK

Both are 360's; the '70 has a 4-speed and the '73 is an auto. The '73's engine is built and I drag race it at the AMC Nationals at Cordova Dragway (IL).
I wanted (needed) another garage for these 2 and didn't want to take up a lot of yard space, so after a lot of thinking I decided to build a 16x24 with 10' walls and no rafters (scissors trusses) and get a lift to stack the cars. A big plus is being able to work on them without laying on my back-- getting too hard getting back up!

Welcome!

360 in a '70 AMX? Never knew that was available. All I've ever seen is either th 290 or 390. I learned something today. Thanks.
