didn't see the show either, but are they Listas? I recall seeing one episode that had them before. sounds like they get all their shop stuff for free for advertising, at least that's the impression I got from past shows. I think he scored a free flowjet:eek:

I'm pretty sure the red ones were Listas. They also had some yellow ones in the background that appeared to be another brand.

He has pretty sweet tool box set up in the shop. Did you notice when Vinnie opened one of the drawers nothing was in it.

First the OCC shop was all Snap-on, then they went Craftsman Pro.

I also noticed that. He opened more than one drawer also. But the bottom one clearly was empty.

I saw it last night and was wondering the same thing. I would think if he got them for free they would have a big *** label on them. I hope Paul Jr mops the floor with the Old man. OCC seems to be pumping out Generic bikes. Paul JR was the creative end. Everytime I see the OCC Snap-On bike I see something new about it. Out of all there builds it was my favorite. The Firebike is the most complex and to see it up close is incredible. If i had the Snap-On bike I'd ride it everyday.

I saw the Esab thing about the welders. I guess when someone pays you to build a bike you have to blow smoke up their ***. I rather have a Miller

Pretty sure they are Lista cabinets. I just checked Lista's website for comparison.

Upper left corner on the one box over Jr's shoulder had a ~3'x1' blueish rectangular label. Due to being out of focus I couldn't read what it said, but it is where Lista puts their name plate and it is pretty close to the same size.

There is a bunch of drama on the show. Stop whining and build some bikes.

I WAS surprised that Jr came to work early to work on his bike. This might be what he needed to take things seriously. I hope he is able to build a good crew.

Something's not right, tho. Vinnie and Cody had their own shop, tools and sponsors. Why would Vinnie give up being his own boss to pull Jr's *** outta the fire? And where's Cody? Where's Vinnie's tools?

Depends who's stroking their egos this week... I see they now rate Esab over Miller & Lincoln welders...

In the episode where the ESAB guys came in to "introduce" the new equipment, there's a later shot where one of Paul Sr's guys is welding something with a new ESAB MIG and he's wearing "Power of BLUE" gloves. :bounce::):bounce::):bounce:

They will build for whoever gives them money at the moment. OCC did a Miller bike way back when, recently they did an ESAB bike supposedly because "they like the equipment." :headscrat

Same thing with tools. They did the Snap On bike, but you always notice Craftsman boxes around the shop, even now. They have all those Lista cabinets too.

If you haven't noticed already, OCC isn't bringing in any paying clients. They are "trading" bikes for shop equipment or other services, presumably to have something to build on the show.

I'm guessing that Vinnie only joined up with Jr. under the condition that he could keep his business going on the side.

Besides, if you were struggling to start a new business wouldn't you welcome some paid face time on a major television series? It's surely great marketing for him.

I got tired of the old OCC show but the new was has me interested again.

Very sad episode where the roofer fell through the roof. Incredibly sad way to start.

Yep, it's sad to see them reduced to building bikes for barter. That miserable dry drunk Paul Sr. deserves it, though.

Their builds have dropped in status from Snap-On, through Craftsman, down to Kobalt. From 20th Century Fox and Intel to Window World. They have to be in debt up to their eyeballs with that new building.

I think they are Lista cabs in Paul Jr.'s new shop. I think he mentioned a bike build for Lista falling through.

I wonder if bike building is the real money, or do they actually make more appearing on the show? I think product placement and appearance money are the real money makers, along with merchandise, t shirts, etc. Anyone got any inside info on how these shows pay these (actors)?

I remember the Miller bike with the welder trailer. During the Snap-On bike build they had the shop full of Snap-On boxes, tools and equiptment. I thought the CAT bike was an incredible build. Very differant. I think Paul Jr will do well.

I have to wonder what will happen with V Force customs.

Never had much interest in the show. Their motorcycles are "art" and not viable street motorcycles. People that have actually ridden motorcycles produced on the show say they handle poorly and are often unsafe to ride. Paul Sr. said after riding one of the cycles that he hoped the new owner would look at it as sculpture and not ride it much.

Why would someone pay $80K to $100K for a caricature of a motorcycle? Oh wait, they no longer do (so they trade "theme" cycles for tools and publicity).

And, do you watch their workmanship during a build? I've seen 8 year olds with better mechanical skills.

probably the same people who buy cars for 2 million plus dollars and never drive them.

I do agree with OCC though, their bikes have become cookie cutter type. IT seems that no serious fab work goes into them and thats what made me enjoy the show. Everything is production parts with a few custom parts thrown in, but hey, the old man is laughing all the way to the bank. Think of how much merchandise they sell just from the discovery show alone.

The only comparable bike shop in fame is West Coast Choppers, but their a 'real' bike shop.

While I'll acknowledge Jr had some good bikes ... the constant falling back on the web theme .... lacks growth. It was OCC, not Spider Web customs (altho that would be a great business name for him .. far better than Paul Jr. Design imp). And what does he do for his first bike in the new shop ... another web bike.

I personally found him limited, and frankly, an amateur welder at best. They didn't even hide that they had other people finish his welds for him. I think a few years at art school would have really broadened his abilities. A few at a welding school would have helped even more. Poole has the manual skills of Mikey ... or less ... but he's a far better designer ... once he's told what to design.

Comparing him to James .... C'mon, let's get serious. I think James is a cockroach, but I don't have anything but the utmost respect for his abilities.

Those red cabinets were all Lista.. I saw the emblem on one of them where they had a close up shot of one of the guys leaning on the boxes.. you could see "Lista" under his armpit

Actually Paul Jr is an excellnt welder. It's just when things got cranked up at OCC they had another guy finishing up un the time consuming Tig welding. paul Jr's strength is in his design skills. He is an artist when it comes to metal. His time was better spent designing than wasting it tig welding all day. He can do it but in his situation it would have taken 6 months to build a bike if he had to do everything himself. He has a really good imagination when it comes to theme bikes. I wish he had chosen something besides a web theme for his first build but it is his signature style. He has admitted more than once the Black Widow bike is his favorite. If you are going to build one to showcase and ride you build what you like. I sure wish I had his skills when it comes to the thought process from an artist veiw.

Build or Bust (Exile Choppers) on Speed was always fun to watch. Exile Choppers were on Discovery's Biker Build off a time or two, also.

What we see on the show are one off customs. They aren't supposed to be viable street motorcycles, but they do have a line of production bikes that are very streetable.

They also sell builder parts, wheels, and have a service where you can pick the chassis, paint, and production parts you want and they will build the bike for you.

This, along with their apparel is their bread and butter, not the custom stuff you see on the show, regardless if it's sold or bartered for.

Meh.. OCC is a joke.. They all got lazy IMO.. Their whole steps in building a bike is taking fenders and whatnot off a shelf and modifying it. Its a drama show.. gets annoying.. Now they are going at it again.. They both need the TLC network to keep their businesses going. Its sad because there are other builders who build true custom bikes that blows Jr and Sr out the water. Rick, Jason, Vinnie and Cody should all get together and kick OCC's ****..

I always liked Billy Lane from Disco's Great Biker Build Off series... until that stupid **** killed someone while driving drunk. Now he is in jail where he belongs.

I also liked Indian Larry... too bad he died.

He died pretty much how he wanted to ... riding. Not to many people get to go out the way they wanted to. I expect he didn't have too many regrets when he met his maker.

That welded chain bike he was riding tho ..... Now that was talented welding. i wonder where that bike got to.

Not really much of a welder.I remember one of the first episodes where he didn't have a ******* clue how the welder worked. They had an old guy in giving him tips and teaching him how to run a bead.Your right though,if he tried to do the welding it would take six months to do a bike and then it would probably break in half on the first ride.

I just watched this week's episode where they launched "Paul Jr" with the slingshot (DVR).

I haven't seen the show in a couple years. I think Paul Sr has had some work done. The crows feet on his eyes are gone and his brow is much smoother. It's good work though. Not that weird looking shite like Jerry Jones or Mary Tyler Moore have. Yeeek.
