Has anyone had any experience with these people? I'm looking at a single post lift from them. Just wanted to see if any members had any issues or past experience with them?

Thanks. I talked to the guys at ACL seems pretty legit. Got me in touch with a local installer and everything I'm pretty happy about everything so far. Just have to gash out some small issues to make everything fit....

For what its worth, I bought a double-lift from a company called SuperLifts 4 years ago. They're now gone and no service, parts etc. - I'd avoid a non-name outfit like this (no matter how legit they are). - You may be OK now, but down the road they may be just another entry in bankruptcy court ledger....

Wow... I guess I never though about it like that they are saying everything is American made so in theory if they do go out of business I should be able to source parts on my own...

Ya good luck with that. I'm trying to understand the point of your post.
You asked for feedback and when given feedback you try to dismiss the advice. Why even bother posting?

I bought my "SuperLift" because it was made in the USA - and it was. - but it wasn't a great design and when I wanted to buy parts the seller was no longer around - and they never did build the lifts, just outsourced them to another company. Its great to buy US - I did so with my Mohawk - but it also pays to make sure company has a proven track record and some staying power (like Mohawk).

Just my two cents....

I'm not dismissing the advice. I am taking everything into consideration and I wasn't getting to many responses hence the reason for asking more questions. All things considered I am looking into other options such as Bendpak and Mohawk. Really no need to be an @sshole.

Old news but I thought I'd chime in on the AC lifts. A good friend has one of these chinese death traps. Two cables have broken. The cylinder seals failed. The reservoir has cracked twice. The power switch fell apart. The release linkage has broken off. Three sheaves and pins have worn almost entirely through before it was noticed. AC has provided parts replacement but getting the correct part first time or in a timely fashion (combined down time has been over a year) is iffy. Now, he did only pay the dear sum of $1700 for this contraption. It scares the **** out of me everytime we work under this thing as it likes to move a lot. I'm waiting on my tax return to purchase a Bendpak. If I don't make the purchase now it will probably never happen. I'm a single dad and one of those 'evil rich' federal employees that has never earned a paycheck legally over 34 years and now facing a 20% pay cut for several months. Plus, my kid goes off to college in the fall. Money is hemmoraging around my modest home.

I just came across all these posts. I realize it's been 3 years, but I felt it was necessary for me to comment regardless of the time lapse. My name is Brad Davies. I'm the owner of American Custom Lifts "ACLifts". I'm not sure where you received your information from EZZZZZZZ, possibly from your friend, but you have posted inaccurate information. I like to do my research first before posting comments. Just food for thought. We've been in business since 2002 and our corporate office is located in Folsom CA. We do have satellite offices in San Diego and elsewhere. We're not a manufacturer nor have we ever claimed to be. But we do design some of our own lifts (PhantomPark subterranean lift, M1-single post lift and the ACP-ParkKing four post) which are fabricated by different manufacturers. We're not affiliated with Superior Lifts (Super Lifts) or Gemini Lifts or Bendpak. If Dioone purchased a single post lift from Bendpak, then he purchased a Chinese lift. Benpak lifts are built overseas to their design. They no longer import single post lifts. If you purchased an American made single post lift, then you've purchased our design. We do have distributors nationwide who sell our single post design. Also, all of our four post lifts sold in 2012 and 2013 were all American made. With this said EZZZZZZZ, your friend did not purchase a Chinese lift from us. We recently started selling an imported four post designed called the Voyager (Q4P09H) by Challenger Lifts. They do import the steel, but it's assembled here in the U.S. and powered by an American made SPX Fenner power unit and these models model is ALI/ETL certified. You can view our four post Voyager models by visiting our website and look under residential lifts. But all of our other four post lifts whether it being a parking lift or heavy duty service lift are ALL AMERICAN MADE. You'll find on our home page many testimonials. You can also search the web and I don't believe you're find one negative comment about American Custom Lifts. If any of you have any questions, please feel free to call our office and ask for me. I would be happy to visit with you. Good luck with future lift purchases. Brad Davies
