American Floor Jack

I am trying to decide between the Milwaukee 4ton or the Gray 3ton. Will use it on cars and trucks most of the time and even though I dont run a shop I do alot of car work... The minimum heights and max heights are about an inch shy of each other, but the price is the biggy. I cannot seem to get a person on the phone at Milwaukee in a few days span but the first time I called Gray all my questions were answered. I think I am looking at a $300+ difference between the jacks, the Milwaukee being more. I suppose I would be in the same price range and lifting capacity with two 2ton Milwaukees, so that could be the third choice. The 2ton will work for cars and can be doubled up for the trucks...

Inputs?

(Yes, I am tired of blowing money every other year on cheap Chinese floor jacks.... and jacks that have American company names on the but made in China or Taiwan)

Im Fairly Certain the Gray 3 ton FSJ-60B is a rebranded Hein Werner HW93652 and its much cheaper going thru HW and IMO its one of the best Hydraulic Unit Designs around. I would probably go with the HW, but the Milwaukee is a Nice Jack in its own right.

Received the 3ton "Made in USA" HW Jack today and used it to help lift my car for diagnoses... The good news is that it is a BEAST compared to my Chinese made 3.5ton jacks and rolls around on the concrete effortlessly unlike the Chinese jacks that sort of slide with force, I shouldn't have any problems with it. The bad is that the box had a little hydraulic oil on it from the plastic vent cover and am not sure how much fluid to put back in it, but it works pretty good with what's left inside? Something major/minor but it was also missing a circlip that goes on the end of a cross-pin that connects the arms to the lifting platform, somehow it was knocked off during shipping and was found in the plastic shrink wrapping. (Inspect your stuff before use!) Lord only knows what would have happened if it was discovered while lifting a vehicle... The shippers that move these things aren't very polite to HEAVY objects...

Don't know about his jack but I got my HW 3 ton right at a year ago and its perfect so far. I use it at work so it sees frequent use. Sometimes its only to slide under a trans during an engine swap, other times it jacks up a 1 ton loaded service truck.
