So I found this lift today and wanted to see if you guys had any experience with the lift.

From what I gatherd its 100% American made, constructed by Gemini.
Looking just around under 2k shipped to northern Indiana.

I was looking at worth lift, but now leaning towards this. Also the cousin thickness it just a hair under a 1/4 inch.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Since World War II, Ft. Worth has been a major manufacturing hub in the United States. The TP9KAF is essentially a eight-tenths scale of an American Made Bison 9000F. The Bison 9000F is a true American Made / Texas made lift. The TP9KF is not quite as rugged as the Bison 9000F, but it sure does pack a punch.

North American Auto Equipment is proud to offer this light duty commercial lift. We have thousands of these units in service and we can now say that this lift is perfect for light duty commercial and ideal for residential use.

Frequently asked questions: How high does my ceiling need to be to install a TP9KF 2 Post Car Lift lift? Answer: 9'-5" to 9-6". Nine Foot Five Inches to Nine Foot Six Inches would be the minimum recommended ceiling height for a full rise, Two Post Auto Lift. To Further Answer this question: If you have a vehicle that measures 3 feet from the pick up point on the frame to the top of the roof and need to lift the car 6 feet in the air, you need 9'-5". Once the car is raised into position and resting on the safety latches, you will need to raise the car 2.5" to release the safety latches. Having a 2.5" Minimum Space between the roof of the car that you are lifting is what we would recommend. Truck Adapters and Mounting Hardware included. These lifts have the heavy-duty leaf chain, steel pulleys, high-strength cable equalization system and everything you’d expect from a quality lift.

Well doing some checking for the American model I would be in to it 3400 deliverd. Dang thought I found a good deal.

Looks like there is a distribution point in IN were you could pick it up for a $100 handling fee. Seems like a good price but their shipping is outrageous, the 10k one I put in my cart was like $2300 for shipping???

Have you checked out american automotive equipment? I've been looking at their low clearance 9k two post. $2100 no shipping costs

Seems to be the same specs. Mentions that it comes with a 220V power unit, didn't see that mentioned on the north american one and it can be used symmetrical or asymmetrical

Unfortunately, many of the lift companies are a little "deceitful" when talking about American vs imported.
Our Quality line of lifts, is mostly imported, but has several American components.
The true American manufactured lifts, such as our commercial Challenger line of lifts, are going to be in the $3000-$4500 range. That's just the way it is. But, if you've seen them side by side, and examined the cables, pulleys, and the material thicknesses, and other design aspects, you'll understand why.

Yes I agree a lot of places are not honest about there lifts. Right now this option is on hold, I have came across a mohawk a7 lift. The lift is second hand from a police department and roughly 20 years old. If I pick up 1400 if they is tall roughly 1600.
