Looking for a nice general purpose toolbox that is American made. Would like some type of drawer latching mechanism. Large lower chest or upper/lower combo. Not making a living with it so don't have many thousands to spend, but willing to pay for quality and support American jobs. Any recommendations appreciated.

I think Gladiator is US made, but double check it.

If you don't have thousands to spend, good luck.

International brand toolboxes have 2 lines made in Canada.

Lista has US made toolboxes.

Not all tool truck stuff will be US made.

Then you have the used market.

Thanks for replies. I would say my target is under $2,000. Would consider good clean used also. Are Snap-ons still made in Iowa? Is it Waterloo, Iowa? Assume they make Waterloo brand also? Any other brands to look at that you guys have good experience with?

As far as I know Waterloo industries moved out of Waterloo some time ago.

What I have heard is that all Snap-On Boxes are made in the U.S.A. (Algona, Iowa) and anything that isn't 100% American made gets the Blue Point label on it. I would buy Snap-On boxes, they are great boxes, I have a Snap-On KR1000B that I bought in the late 80's and it has served me will, still have it. It was build in Kenosha, Wi.
