I still prefer USA stuff. But sad to say, too many "US" companies outsource to China and sell at their old pricing as if it was still made here. Dewalt seems to build most of their stuff over-seas or Mexico now. Prices still the same as if it was made here. Shame on you. Makita makes much of their stuff here and sells at fair pricing. Thanks to Makita and all the other companies that support our workers and US consumers. Germany and Japan make great stuff too. Japan has export standards so you can count on their products. Up and coming Gearwrench used to be made in Tawain and were pretty good tools, but now it looks like China is their main producer. No more GW for me.

For me: USA first choice then I try to get Japanese or German goods.

Support TRUE "Made in USA" companies. If we don't, all tools will be Chinese before long. To the US companies still hanging in there, THANKS.

I like Harbor Freight tools, they're real cheap so I can buy a lot of them and if they get dirty I can exchange them for new ones.

Yes, the ability to clean Harbor Freight tools by exchanging them does set them apart from most U.S. tool companies. But, to be fair, Craftsman seems to be catching up to Harbor Freight in quality and, as is often mentioned here at GJ, you can by dirty old ones at yard sales and exchange them for new ones too just like HF!!!
