My guess is that it was made for Western Auto because I think they used a similar model number. It was definitely made by Vlchek though because I found one just like it on Worthpoint that has the Vlchek shield logo.

Funny story...

No matter what type of sale I go to I run into Vlchek tools and one day many years ago the light bulb went off so to speak. They were made in my home state in Cleveland, "AHIA" as they like to say. I don't run into proto much because they were a thing on the west coast, but there are loads of Vlchek tools in my area of central Ohio.
