Ammco 7" shaper belts

get some link belt of the proper width, adjutable length, they work well on my atlas shaper, drill press, and many other machine tools. available from many sources, Amazon, Mcmaster, etc

Factory is 4L 290 and 4L 310 or 29" and 31" Outside.
I would suggest going with an AX belt which is cogged and goes around the pulleys better. A/AX belts are measured on the inside vs 4l outside so they will be 2" shorter in the numbering. 4L is a fractional hp belt and is the same 1/2 x 5/16 as an A/AX belt but the A/AX is for higher hp and usually cost more but if you know where to look not always.
If you have a motion industries or Applied technologies in town they would be a good source.

I would not use the link belt. We used it frequently to get us by in the factory a day or two but it can wear even cast iron sheaves funny long term, let alone the soft zymak sheaves the atlas has. Its also very expensive in comparison to a v belt. The AX belt being cogged does the same thing reducing vibration as well.
