Who made or sales AMP air compressors. AMP according to the tank stands for air mover products. One I’m looking at doesn’t have any tags that are readable but it’s a 80gal vertical two stage 5 hp

That's a rather unfortunate name to try to use in a web search. Lots of dead ends regarding amp draw in a compressor, air movers (fans) and 12V vehicle compressors.

If you post a picture that would help immensely.

I found this pic online but it was from one that was for sale at a auction and they didn’t have any info listed about it either. This is however just what the one I’m looking to get looks like.

the name AMP seems to read something else than air mover products. Can you get a better photo? I don't see what you see in that name but it is too blurry. The last name looks more like Pneumatic to me.

That's another in a long line of compressors built up with the Saylor Beall knockoff Chinese compressor pump. Many have good luck with them. In my experience they don't take neglect very well, so listen to it run if you can.

It says air mover products. I saw the compressor in person but didn’t have my phone with me at the time but it did say that.

Well I got it and got it home. Runs and pumps and doesn’t have anything wrong with it except for the tank drain leaks. It is a SB clone and I don’t know if I’ve went deaf or what but this compressor is the quietest compressor I’ve ever heard

all that body dust or wood dust i sure hope it had a intake filter on it .

and that tag / sticker with all the info looks just like the ones that were on my coleman blackmax units before the pumps died and i reworked them with I.R. pumps .

It’s all paint dust and yeah they had a air line plumbed to the outside of the garage. For it to be a clone it sure is quite. I mean almost can put it in the living room quite and it runs at 805 rpm lol.

i know people do it a lot but i dont plumb outside . to much wet air at least in my area . check the inside of the tank for severe rust on the bottom or also massive amounts of water held in by rust chunks .

That was the first thing I did when I went to load it up. It hadn’t been used in a few years due to the owner becoming ill and his wife had no use for it so she got rid of it to me. Me and another guy went to load it up and it seemed allot heavier than usual so I took the drain plug and all out and not a drop of water came out and the hole was clear and no rust chunks or anything. Tank date is 1991. Everything seems to be in tip top shape other than the years and years of dust and over spray. Very complete unit too. Mag starter, pressure switch, regulator and air line filter. Pepcock drain leaks but that’ll get a new ball valve and I might go ahead and remove the valves and check and clean those
