the one I seen has a disk brake on each side that you activate to stop that side, making the other side swing around. The levers were hooked to mini master cylinders just like a typical brakes.

I actually have one of these. First there is a fluid resevoir bottle under the front right corner to the right of the gas pedal. It has to be 3/4 full of ATF. The steering system has 2 master cylinders behind the steering wheel with lines running to the slave cylinders. When you turn the wheel fluid is forced into the slave cylinder, which pushes out a piston. The piston pushes out on the outer arm that disengages the drive wheels on one side. The inner arm is lined with brake pad pucks and applies the brakes to one side while turning. If they wear out any automotive lining shop can reline them. To bleed the system I used a hand held vacuum style brake bleeder, but don't turn the wheel untill both sides are bled because air will get in the lines and you'll have to start over. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the input, I appreciate it. Another question if you know, the disc that drives the wheels, when it disengages should it engage the brake pads to hold that side?
