There are a ton of really smart guys on here, but apparently more folks who'd rather poke fun, sorry OP. Just to give a bit of background, almost 20 year guy with one of the "Big Three" manufacturers of HVAC equipment in the US, I will try to help.
As has been stated, cooling does not really cool, in fact, it just removes heat from the space and deposits it elsewhere (usually outside). I have actually seen Condensing units (the unit that normally sits outside your home) placed in attic spaces. I do not recommend this. The temperatures are usually already very high, and in most places in the US, attics, on average, are under vented.
For either a mini-split or a conventional A/C, the hole in the wall will be no more than 3" in diameter. Properly done, it is not an issue.
The portable coolers have been mentioned, and can be an option. Most folks would vent to the attic, so again, you must have proper ventilation, and there are still concerns. Usually the incoming air to the condenser coil is from the space, so a negative pressure will be created. The other option is a 2 pipe system, and venting out the wall, but again, a much larger hole than just the line set hold for a mini-split or conventional A/C.
I might actually suggest, depending on usage, adding a window and putting in a window A/C. You get the ease of install, low price, and a window! Just a thought.
Hope you find a solution that works for you, not everyone can think of everything all the time. I apologize for the way folks have poked at you. Not knowing is not a problem, in my opinion. No one knows it all.

Bury geo-thermal heat pump lines and come up through the floor?
