Anchor Bolts At Zoro

FYI....

Zoro has a bunch of different diameter and length concrete anchor L bolts in both galvanized and plain steel on their site. Some are selling for pennies each (1/2" Galv coated are like $.02 - $.05, for 6" - 12"). If interested, when looking at their anchor bolt listings, you need to look for the Zoro "Select" bolts (their house brand) and then look at the different lengths that may be available within the listing. They are available in lots of 10-50 in 3/4" to 3/8" bolts including the requisite nuts and washers per box. I was hesitant at first and added a few to a order thinking it may be like Amazon deal where they say you will get 10/12/25 pieces. etc in your order and they actually send you one piece. :(
This hasn't been my experience with these. I have received full boxes of bolts, washers and nuts that weight 30 pounds or more for a few bucks. :)

Good luck!

Here is a place to start and then you can search for other diameter and lengths that you might "need" (remember, they have to be the Zoro "Select" brand listings):

ETA.....

As you can see, the price of the one I originally linked to, changed a bit. A lot of them are now up near "normal" price, not90% off.

I updated the link to some that are still available. If they are on backorder, you may be taking your chances but in stock should ship within a day and direct ship should ship in a week or so YMMV:

Start doing the math, how many of these can I use in my lifetime and how much space do I have? I am absolutely positive that you will not find these cheaper even if you get into Mr. Peabody's. "Way Back Machine" (look it up young blood) and travel to many years ago!

Another good idea if you're into hoarding stuff is to keep an eye on clearance stuff on Grainger. I've picked up a lot of metric fasteners on the cheap this way.

Grabbed an assortment of sizes since I'm not sure what size I'll end up needing. Figure for the price I paid for all of them, I'll probably be ahead of the game compared to if I bought the exact number I needed at a big box store. They are crazy cheap! Plus got a few other things I could use to get me up to the free shipping threshold. First 2 boxes arrived today.

FWIW, the brand on the box is "All America Threaded Products". Website states "The vast majority of our products are made in the U.S.A." but one box is made in China, the other box doesn't say where it was made.

Just placed an order only to have zoro tell me afterwards that the bolts are backordered.
A week or two ago, most all the sizes were in stock. I have a couple that I am still waiting on. If I was a betting man, I would bet they will eventually get your order to you. I still can't believe they were selling them for these prices. You can't even purchase just the nuts and/or washers for what they were asking for them. Say nothing about the shipping they had to pay for those heavy *** boxes.

In my experience Zoro has always delivered backorders. I have a delivery scheduled today for something I ordered in August. No communication from Zoro in the meantime, but at least they came through.

Yeah and I am an idiot not to jump on that since I am in the need of some.

I ordered six different lengths and diameters. They all arrived on Monday, shipped fedex to my business. My son said about 250 pounds total.

All six boxes for less than $35 total, the shipping alone had to be more than I paid.

Soooo....

I was looking into getting some longer concrete form/grade stakes and boy have they gotten pricey at the contractor's supply house! I prefer and usually use flat stakes but I do have some round ones. I checked Lowes online and found they were less expensive buying their house brand stakes and then the light bulb went off. Why can't I spend some time and make them out of anchor bolts? I went and grabbed a 3/4" anchor bolt from the shop and tried drilling it and it drilled like butter in the drill press. It did take maybe 5 minutes to grind a point on it on the bench grinder. I need to talk with my neighbor to see if he can turn the points quicker in his shop for me. So off to Zoro I go to see if they still have any of these soon to be "stakes" available. They still had some anchor bolts listed at Ebay in both 3/4" and 1". I was able to find 20- 3/4" x 27" for $8.40 (less than the price of two stakes with a weight: 45.65) and 10- 1" x 39" for $28.01 (Weight: 78.05). I again ask, how/why are they selling these so cheap?

Looks like Zoro finally recognized the pricing error on these. I had placed a few sizes in my cart just in case a use for them came along. Up until a couple weeks ago they were all still under $8. Now all over $100
