Well Ryan said something about garages so I had to look.

My oh my....I had to show the wife that my illness was not a solo cause! An entire website full of people with the "Illnesss" how cool is that.

And perfect timing too!!!! I'm getting ready to layout plans for a new garage in my backyard. 50% is in my head and trying to figure out the rest so I can submit plans to the city.

I found an abandoned 1951 Gulf gas station not to far from my new house and convinced the owner that I really needed those old porcelain panels for a project. He sold them to me for a $1 a piece. I bought as many as I could. I then found out that an old Sunoco station is going to be torn down to make room for a new burger joint and I talked the guy into letting me have the overhead doors, man door and the two large glass windows for $100.00!

My plans are to make one helluva faux front to possibly a cement block garage!

With all the brains to pic here I should have one cool garage to work on and store my dad's car (A low mileage all original '64 Impala) and my two beaters (a '66 GTO clone and a '28 Model A truck):rocker:

Where do you live to have so many abandon gas stations? The old gas stations around here are long gone or have been turned into detail shops.
