It will work on a square ended plug of the right size.

It's can be the elusive 4 point socket.

would work good to drain the oil in a Briggs and Stratton. I normally take a 3/8" extension and turn it around and put a 12 point socket on the other side.

yep. had these for over 30 years. made it easy to loosen dist. on my 70 1/2 sb ss camaro (1/2"&9/16")
