After waiting for 2 years, finally we sign a contract and my brick 55x40 shop start. Temporary power pole installed Permit for construction done and posted. This across my house a 1.33 acre of land. My wife did a beautiful rock garden that she has been working on for the last 3 years with big boulder etc. Shop will have a 15x15 office space with bathroom and shower. A/C and heater only in the office. The rest is going to be foam insulation walls and roof and metal roof, side walls will be brick. Middle bay will have a lift. Here are some pictures.

Today cement footers were pored. The guy driving the cement truck he can't drive. More pictures.

Here is the design of the shop. Three front roll up doors. It is going to have a lobby or should we say Cave man lobby, LOL. The middle bay is the one with the lift. That are will the trust will be almost 14 " and the rest I think 10'. Anyway outside will be brick, roof will be metal. It will have foam insulation entire shop. Back right rear corner will have a two stage compressor. The front will have a over hang of 5'. Cave man will have A/c and a small water heater for the Shower, and stainless sink in the shop. I have been waiting for this for a veryyyyy long time. The middle lights in the bay are going to be replace by fans.

Man I wish I had space.. I live in a village with no spare land and as it's in a National Park I couldn't build something like that even if I had the space.. Green with Envy and watching with interest..

Well not only did they left on Thursday after the did the footers. I have not seen them since then. Cement blocks are here, but they didn't showed up today. I guess I'm making a hot phone call to the contractor!! This is why I hate construction, I don't have control of what is going on. Frustrating!!

Today city came to do a tap on the sewer and plumber got the piping for toilet, shower and sink for bathroom and for the shop.

So frame are up and Trusses came in late afternoon. Bathroom and office walls up too. Oh yea looking great so far.

Trusses are up. If you guys notice I wanted the trusses in the middle higher so I can put my car lift with no clearance issues. Moving pretty fast.

So roof is almost done, windows are here, electrician will wire the shop on Friday, oh yea is moving along. Can't wait to see it finished.

A/C unit is install and water heater. All electrical wiring is done, waiting on inspector.

Roof 99% done, all electrical wiring done just need to start hooking up everything and Inspector to come and give his blessing. A/C unit in the cave man shower is in too. Got today all outside light fixtures. Getting real close. Last picture my wife, my sponsor, LOL.

Update, roof is complete, all inspections so far have passed. Foam and bricks are going on at the same time. Pretty soon it will be completed. More photos.
