Sure thing, brick was finished today. Plumbing and gravel arrive tomorrow. Here are some pics:

Skinner: I am about 90% through with my garage addition (31x54x12). The width of your's (30') is similar to mine. I have a raised 5' area in front of where the cars will be setting. The raised area is the height of a 2x4 (3 1/2"). I will put tool chests, parts washer, blast cabinet, etc up on this raised area. The slab guys put a small ramp from one level to the other which is pretty neat. I had to go to a roof truss system to carry the 31' span. Good luck on your project. I have had fun with mine.

Personal preference. I wanted to set the tool chests (and eventually shelves) on an area a bit higher than the rest of the shop.

I like the idea, especially for workbenches/cabinets. However, my toolbox stands at nearly 6' as it is so putting it on a platform would be a step in the wrong direction...no pun intended.

I'm still working on this. As the garage will be used mostly for fab work and restoration, I am planning on areas for each. The bathroom is going to allow for a nice "L" shaped work area for benches, tool boxes, and storage. On the other side of the shop I am planning on setting up all of my equipment: tubing bender, drill press, band saw, welder, etc. The back wall will serve as a nice area for a long metal storage rack and maybe my weight bench (haven't decided on whether or not to put it out there?).

Any other suggestions?
