Was in the shop today putting finishing touches on the KR-562 I've been restoring and working on a customer car when this happened...

The magnet that holds the cab door in place didn't do their job and as I was lowering the lift all I heard was metal being crushed... My heart dropped and I immediately knew what it was and raised the lift to see the tragedy before you

You ain't the first to do that. Had buddy that worked at an econo lube and tune that the bay's were too short for a car and a tool box. Long story short he had just bought a SO box and one of the dimwits he worked with opened a drawer about the time he lowered a customers car.

Ive seen entire boxes fall on their face because idiots leave too many drawers open. Seen cars dropped on roll carts and roller seats. Most of them created more carnage then that. Sorry to hear but it could be worse.

Ouch.. I've done it. Dropped a Dakota on my 4 drawer Blue-Point. Worst part was retrieving all the sockets and **** that magically jumped into the nasty hole of the single post lift that leaks oil...

From that angle I think a few hours with a hammer, anvil, arbor press and some paint you could get it very close again. If that happened to a friction slide drawer, you'd really be up a creek.

hammer and dolly it, skim coat with filler, sand and repaint, will look good as new.

the entire box has been sandblasted and powder coated.. ill take the door off this week, and pound away but will definitely need to find some filler that can withstand powdercoating
