What are you going to do with it? Most of the tools shown in the pictures would be terrifying to use freehand, but I suppose using a burr in it could be sane.

When I was younger and dumber, I once put a cylinder head porting mandrel in a router. Because, hey 1/4 shank.
Thankfully I still have my pinky but at the instant it happened, I was sure it was gone.

I picked this one up a few months ago, good quality, made in USA if that matters to you:

Just a heads up that many of these extensions will increase shaft bearing loads by orders of magnitude-- it's best to avoid any significant side loading on whatever is attached.
I'd recommend something like this instead:

I had a bit of a challenge even finding an adapter like this, which I found surprising. Thought it would be pretty common. Adapts a standard 5/8" threaded angle grinder shank to a 1/4" clamping collet. Can anyone recommend one? If not, I'll probably try this one from Amazon.

This is the adapter in your link; it is an ER-16 collet system with two collets: 1/4" and 1/2". "

If you do purchase that adapter, recommend you get this 5-piece ER-16 collet set that includes 1/8" collet to run Dremel tool accessories:

Pretty cool accessory there, but for that kind of money, I’d rather take my chances giving the shaft bearings a very infrequent hot supper

What is the final end game? Abrasives4Sale offer 5/8" X 11 2 inch and 3 inch Roloc adapters that work great at converting a normal angle grinder for use with Rolocs. I do have the exact thing you're looking for but I haven't used it as I have at least seven electric and 10 air powered die grinders for those jobs.

Here's a link to abrasives4sale. Go to the bottom of the page to find the conversion back up pads

Want to remove paint/rust with roloc discs with a 1/4" smooth shank holder. Nothing *too* dangerous.

Yeah...been looking at that and starting to think it's worth the squeeze.
