angle grinder arbor adapter for flap disk

I have a Bosch 1380 slim angle grinder. Spindle is 5/8-11. I have flap discs with a 7/8" arbor. These are Type 27 flat discs, and they will not fit. I have no trouble with a Type 29 conical disc--I have a bushing that fills in the gap, and the T-29 fits and works fine with that bushing. However, the T-27 won't work, it acquires the spindle differently.
I have found an adapter on ebay, headed "Adapter - Convert 7/8" Arbor to 5/8"-11 Threaded Hub quantity listing" and another on Amazon "Adapter ADP-BR Convert 7/8 in. Arbor to 5/8 in -11 Threaded Hub on cup wheel." [Garage Journal won't let me include the links in my post].
So does anyone have any experience with this? Will the adapter let me use the 7/8" T-27 flat disc?

7/8" x what thread? Or is it not threaded?

Seems like a lot of trouble for a single flap disc, just go buy the appropriate 5/8-11 threaded or better yet the unthreaded version that just require the standard nut.

No, not a lot of trouble. The 120 grit we're using go for way less in 7/8 (10 for $16) compared to the 5/8 ($11.50 each).

Wait, are the 7/8 a open hub, no threads?

If yes, then you need nothing other than standard 5/8"x11 lock nut. If you dont have one (every grinder comes with one), yes, buy one, duh.

If you have one, and its slipping, they are reversible for exactly this purpose. Flip it, tighten it, should hold the non threaded flap disc no issues.

The backing flange goes on first. Type 27 grinding wheels, flap discs, etc. have a 7/8” hole and the backing flange will mate up to it. No backing flange; no work!
