My 4 1/2 Metabo went missing awhile back and now it's time to replace it. Is Metabo still king when it comes to angle grinders ?

Those Pesky computer algorithims at Amazon. I just purschased a WE14-125 plus at Amazon at a AMAZING price...at least 70 cheaper than anywhere else.

Just went back 20 minutes later to order something else, and Amazon has raised he price back up to normal retail.

Score of the year...literally. I remember Toolcrib days where they had some amazing $50-$100 promos...

Metabo makes the best affordable grinders. Fein grinders are the best in the world but cost twice as much.

I'm got a Fein rotary....Not crazy about the balance on mine and indeed was top dollar. I still prefer 66%+ less Makita rotary..

i'll grab my dewalts before the metabo........i just don't care for the switch on it......then again, i don't care for the dewalt paddles either.......i really like the ones that are the same size as a standard 4.5" grinder but has about 6" more inches of handle and the switch being in it......sort of like the larger 9" grinders......

edit: i just remembered, i think i have one of the lower end metabos.......runs great and smooth

It just arrived. Glad to see it's still made in Germany.
Luckily I still have my older blow molded case as this just came in a plain ole cardboard box.

Have a Metabo 4.5 and it's great. Got it from Ebay authorized Metabo rep.

I'll be at the Fein booth tomorrow at Westec.

Heard nothing but bad things about the new Metabo round bodies. The old square bodies were sweet.
