I found some very old posts on this with no real answers to the question so I thought I would try again. I recently bought some Master Mechanic angled, long reach vise grip type pliers much like the ones in the link below. They were only $16 so I didn't expect a lot out of them but I wanted to see if they were going to do what I needed. I use regular vise grips to straighten out door tracks on roll up trailer doors. I thought these would allow me to get in areas where the standard ones don't fit.

The do get in the area and seem like they would work if they were better quality. They don't have enough strength though. They lose their grip too easily and bend easily as well so the track is actually stronger than the tool. Regular Vise Grip standard pliers have no issues except for the certain areas and position I need at times.

I haven't found any decent quality ones available anywhere. Anyone have any thoughts as to where I might be able to get some good ones or maybe a different tool that would do what I need?

Here is the link to some ATD ones. They look like they are the same as the MM ones. I am looking for one or both of the ones on the right side. Thanks for any help you can offer.

Thank you. They look a little larger than what I was looking for. They bend differently but I might have to try them.

I guess the other issue is where to buy. I found them on line but you can't buy them from Bolman. You can only look at them.

Those needle nose ones won't quite do what I need. I sort of need something like the ones in the link but a better quality. I am starting to think no one makes them anymore.

maxpower_hd,

Grip-on (made in Spain) manufactures long nose and bent long nose (up to 12" long) locking pliers. Amazon used to sell them. The only U.S. internet seller that now carries them is Anglo American Tools: LINK.

I purchased the Grip-on 12" bent long nose locking pliers. The design has saved me a few times on projects.
