Ann Arbor MI welding tank prices

Went to Ann Arbor welding supply as I'm new to the area and sold my old ones back to the local shop. They wanter $245 a tank for 80cf tanks. I'm looking for argon for tig and a tank for mig. Seems awful expensive for tanks. about 30-32 bucks to refill. They are open Saturday and 10 min from work.

There is a store (lessors) 5 miles from the house but only open 8-5 M-F if I ever need anything would never get there in time.

Anyone else know of any shops?

I now live in Dexter, MI just moved in the area a few weeks ago.

Pretty typical price. Try to maybe find a used tank on CL and exchange it.

See if Van Born Welding is still around. They are in Dearborn. Well......were when I left there almost 10 years ago. Great guys, inexpensive.

Add $43.75 from them if you want it filled. Filled it has to be shipped ground only.

I'm a "neighbor" up the road in Pinckney.

Try Matheson in Howell, also just north of you. They're not open Saturdays last time I checked however.

You should give Atlantic Welding Supply a call. The woman who runs the place seems gruff, but is actually very nice. They typically have the best prices around, and are open on Sat. I bought a large O2 tank from them, but would have to check my receipt at home to see what I paid...it was reasonable, and less than the other places were asking.

Their address says Belleville, but they are actually in an area that doesn't have it's own zip code, so they go off 48111. They're just a few minutes south of I94 and a couple hundred yards east of Rawsonville Rd.
