There was a Craftsman gold plated anniversary 3/8 RP ratchet on my local Craigslist, unused, for $20. It was listed for over a year until ad was gone. There is also a set of the Titanium Blue ratchets in all 3 sizes for $400, surprisingly that hasn't sold yet.

I bought a set of three of the anniversary engraved ratchets
Paid less than new regular ones.
Put them right into the toolbox and use them

They have an old saying, (hope I am using it the right way) it goes something like this- "can't see the Forest for the trees"; in other words op you are wanting the craftsman tools that you have overlooked some very nice items in that auction.

I see those craftsman items for sale at antique type places all the time and for what people are asking they just sit collecting dust year after year.

If you like them go for it, just do not expect to get rich anytime soon.

I'll sit back and watch the 'deep pockets' battle for the bids. My first thoughts were also that Craftsman put a ton of these on the market. Thanks for the feedback.

UPDATE: The ratchet and 7 sockets sold as 1 lot. Winning bid was $27.50. I stopped at $15.
