New member here. Thought I would post a few pix of my garage diorama. I worked on this off and on for over three years and I still don't consider it done. The dyno machine, blue cabinets, water cooler, wash sink and a host of other items were scratch-built. The '34 Ford is from the ZZ Top model kit in case you're wondering. As always, comments welcome.

That is soo cool. When I was a kid I used to do that with HO scale army men, so I know how much effort goes into it, but mine never looked that good. Very Nice.

In all actuality, he's not ******* in the corner or showing Big Jim and the twins to the secretary, he's waiting for his ride 'cause his is up on blocks at the moment. I couldn't begin to tell you how many hours are into this thing. I can tell you though that you're to find the pack of cigarettes, a liquor bottle, a tennis racket, Hot Rod magazine and a few other things. They may not all show up on these photos though. Thanks for the comments, I appreciate it.

Cool stuff. Although I don't like the people. There are too many of them and they are shiney (not creasy). Do you know this Dutch guy? http://wilcosdioramas.com/

His work always inspires me not to make dioramas, because you can't beat the guy. :)

Very nice, looks like you invested alot of time and effort.

So ,how do you build these? Is everything handmade, do you look to buy certain items which fit the scene?

Thanks for the kind words everyone. As for the question above, a bunch of the stuff was scratch-built and a few of the items either came in model kits as accessories or in a kit themselves like the mechanics were from a Tamiya kit along with the engine hoist, welder and red toolboxes. The engine stand and engine came in a '66 Nova kit from a number of years ago. I have more pictures if you all want to see more.
