I would say no. I transported my Rotary SPOA7 on a 10ft trailer and not only was it a very heavy load, but the posts are 12ft so they extended 2ft beyond the trailer's length. On a 6ft bed, there would be only half on the truck and much of the weight would be on the overhang. Save yourself the grief and rent or borrow a trailer.

There is no way I see that happening. If you an 8ft bed than maybe. Either way, you are better off getting it flatbedded or get a trailer.

Those columns are heavy. That way an engine hoist and a few buddies can stand it up because it isn't too far from the ground.

I've done this more than once and I also say no. I've always used a flat trailer or at least a 12ft. flat bed truck. Try to haul it in a 6ft. bed and you might have a bad day.

Thanks for feedback, I was thinking the rotary's have two piece columns so I might get away with it if disassembled. Doesn't sound like they get much shorter on length.

The reason I even asked was I thought I watched a YouTube video of a guy installing a new one out of the back of a pickup truck. Maybe it was an 8' bed, sure looked like a shortbed. Oh we'll need to find a trailer.

I believe that the bottom, heavy part of the post is about 8' so you would be hanging out the back. The top "extensions" are heavy sheet metal so they don't weigh that much.

I hauled two rotary spoa10 with assembled Coullins in my 8' bed of a 3/4 ton truck. Just put the feet end and carriages towards the front of bed. They far outweigh the tops
One of mine was a 12' and other 13'

I had a 89 Chevy short bed step side 1500 and picked up the same 7500 lb Rotary Lift.
It was a one shot deal, very good price and had to be done ASAP. I had no time to acquire a larger truck or trailer. I only had to go a few miles. I made it very slowly but I would not recommend doing it. The front end was very light and bumps had to be avoided. The lift has been great but I would not do it again with a light duty 6” bed. One other thing I quickly found out about the Rotary lift is that it has a center cylinder inside each post that rises 55” above the top of the side posts. I had a 12' ceiling and had to cut 2 holes in the sheetrock to allow the lift to fully be raised,
Good luck and be safe
