I've spent hours educating myself, researching to try to decide on a 2 post lift. And I still can't decide, I've contacted a few retailers, some local, some online. Very few have been helpful, and most have a generic response.

I have a ceiling clearance of 157", I'd prefer to be able to utilize as much of the available height as possible in case I lift a van with a rack or need to park underneath it. I am 70" tall, and my truck weighs 8800lbs being a 4 door long bed SRW 7.3 Diesel. Majority of my work will be on BMW's (forum name gives that away)

From my limited experience with 2 post lifts and some online research, I believe I've decided on a Symetrical possibly Wide. (Still unsure)

Some of the lifts on my list are
Bendpak XPR 10 S or 10AS 3500$
Danmar 10ACX 2700$
Universalift 11KF 2450$
Atlas Apex 10 2845$
Launch TLT 210 XTB 2900$

Max budget would be 3500$, so no rotary or Mohawk.

I'd prefer a black lift, and clear floor, this may limit my options, I am also unsure if Symmetric is the way for me. I do like the option of being able to pull forward into a Symetrical lift or reverse into the lift.

I'll continue to do more research, but would appreciate advice from those that have gone through the same decision and/or use them daily.

I searched 2 post lift, that thread didn't come up. Thank you.

However same results, no clear answer, no reasoning as why Asymetric or symetric. Maybe I'll narrow it down to 3 and put them all in a hat.

I am looking at the Atlas lifts at Greg Smith as well.... went over to the local distibutor in Portland and the knowledgeable and friendly sales guy walked me through all the features.... I think the PV-10P will work out best for me, I will get it with the optional height extension kit so I can lift trucks way up and still get under them... (I'm 6'2" tall). I recommend downloading the actual catalog from Greg Smith (or going and visiting in person) as the optional 2 foot height increase kit is available for the PV-10P but maybe not for the Apex.

The height increase only raises the height of the overhead bar, not how high the cylinders will actually go, but the salesman told me on a van or tall truck you may not be able to lift the vehicle to full height as the overhead bar is in the way....

I have the 10k Bendpak symmetrical lift at my old shop (gave to my parent's). It lifted up my old 6.0 f250 and my dad's cclb 7.3 f350 with zero issues. Also fit my shelby and 01 Cobra with some blocks of wood under the tires (they're very low). So basically, it's great for everything in that range.

It was BendPak 10k asymmetric for me. I do not lift that many long trucks but have had 0 issues so far. Really happy with it

Atlas PV-10P here. I've had everything from 1-ton diesel dually, Jeep TJs to lowered Civcs on it regularly. Pretty versatile lift.

I have an older Worth lift Made in Texas. They make a super heavy high quality lift. They offer two-posts up to 15000 and they can build you a custom height and/or a custom width. Their 15000lb lift weighs 3400 pounds. They also build four-posts up to 100,000 lb rating.
I like the way mine is built, I'm assuming the new ones haven't changed.
The problem with Worth (as reported on this forum) is that they are sloooow at delivery and their website is atrociously outdated and crude. USA made but you'll have to call them for a quote.

I've got an Apex-10, very happy with it, and nice that GSE is only 45 minutes away if I need parts. Personally i wouldn't walk under a lift that isn't ALI certified; having third-party verification influenced my decision greatly (why I didn't go with the PV series). I'm just down the valley in Salem if you'd like to check it out, just PM me. Can also walk through my reasoning on setting it up asymmetric.

I've bought 2 new lifts from them, I second giving them a call.
My last 10,000 clear floor symetric extra wide was $3600, IIRC.
Will make the lifts you mention look like tinker toys.

The apex 10 isn’t offered in black.

I’ve tentaviley narrowed it down to the following 2 lifts. Which is the better lift? They are very comparable spec wise. Lower pad height on the Derek, lifting height specifications isn’t clear which lifts higher. Arms are longer on the Danmar.

2779$ Danmar

These two lifts are almost identical in terms of features. A slight edge to the weaver lift due to more versatile lift arms, lower pad height and higher overall height. I really enjoy my dannmar but can admit the weaver lift has a few additional conveniences.

I looked at pretty much all of those as well. Ended up getting an Ideal TP10KAC-DX last month (for less than what they're showing here but I believe prices have gone up recently) https://www.asedeals.com/store/ideal-tp10kac-dx-two-post-lift/

Can do both symmetric and asymmetric lifts.

Kid has an 06 350Z and my friend has an M3 that we've had up on the lift already with no issues as well as my 2500HD up to the interrupt bar. I can't stand up completely straight under the truck (6'4) but it's pretty close.

Can't remember but I think I saw they have these available in black.

I recently installed the W-Pro 10 you are looking at in my garage. Best I could find for my purposes, I have sports cars and a pickup. This lift can be used symmetrically for the pickup and asymmetrically for sports cars, 3 stage front arms are the way to go. I had a 8,000 lb Direct Lift at my old house, it worked but there is no comparison to the W-Pro 10.

Not sure where to post this but it looks like GregSmith was bought by Tooltopia a whie back and no longer sells the Atlas Apex 10. Anyone know the details and why the Apex 10 is no more? Assume my warranty is no more are well?

25 yrs as a dealer tech and I strongly prefer an asymmetrical for ease of getting in and out of the car. I suppose that if all I ever worked on was long heavy trucks a symmetrical might be better but I don't.
