Another air compressor question.

I know there are a million threads on air compressors but I have an odd question. I had bought a new 60 gal vertical compressor but before I even had a chance to hook it up, hurricane Ike destroyed my home and shop. The tank flipped over when the shop flooded with a tidal surge and the compressor and motor were ruined in saltwater. I took the compressor and motor off and threw them away but kept the tank since no water apparently got into it. My home and shop are now rebuilt and I am going to buy another compressor. The question is that I want to use the original tank in the system for more volume and was thinking of buying a 30 gallon compressor and plumbing into the 60 gal tank. What would I gain or should I spend a couple more c-notes and get another 60 gal. I am most interest in running my blast cabinet. Any advice appreciated. I have plenty of room.

Capt. Mike.

There was an active thread a few days ago where one of the guys had TWO 30 (or 60) gallon tanks connected to his normal compressor. He just connected them using small air hoses with quick connects. I'd suggest a cutoff valve on the incoming line though...
