Another anvil stand

This is an anvil stand I made for my son's birthday for his Peter Wright anvil. Nothing fancy, but I like the medieval look.

Nice work 34KW. Makes me think I should build a stand for mine. It was my great-Grandfathers and I'm 67 years old so it's an oldie.

How tall is that to top of anvil ? Normally top of anvil should be set to bottom of a fist made , arms straight down , standing next to it. Sometimes pictures are deceiving.

Thanks all for the kind words. I've been away and just now logged on. The wooden block height is 24". That plus the anvil height puts it at my knuckles. I used select fir 2x10 and that's how it came out. Another 1-2" in height would have been a little better, but this won't be used all day long, so I don't think fatigue will be a factor. Making a glu-lam beam that is square is harder than I thought. I ended up gluing in sections.
