Doesn't have much swing for its size. Looks built for tall work that's not that big around.

...and it's ugly.

Hey now, that's like talking about someone's girlfriend!

haha!
Shiny has nothing to do with it  its still ugly.

I have one of the rarest Walker-Turner presses. so I'm good to go....

That rare WT is nice but I bet that dp on the first post would twist your lil shaft backwards in a snap! It's all about function, if that one works for you, good deal.

In all seriousness. The drill press initiallly posted is IMHO the best comprimise between useable for work and cool to look at old. I'm trying to figure out exactly what it is. With the MT2 it would be awesome for the ~0.5-1" range holes.

haha!

Is that your shop? :shocking:  I think I see A (single) chip on the floor. :lol_hitti

Not to thread jack... but didn't want to start another another big drill press thread :eyecrazy:

Check it out - serious work table.. and a nice mill vise. The price doesn't suit my blood - but it's still a neato piece of equipment :D

A_Pmech; time for a road trip!

That one is too old for me! Besides, I already have it's cousin, an Edlund 1-1/2 F-12 high speed drill press. ;)

The next road trip will be for a cylindrical grinder, I think.

What he's saying, Outlaw, is that DP is not a big enough challenge for the firecamarobird

You all are funny. Jake - I bet it did and they unloaded it with one of those neato container cranes!

Jabber, my boy, I'd be afraid the building would rotate, when I turned that wee beastie on...:lol_hitti

The funny part is, I'd love to have that thing, but I have no idea what I'd do with it...:dunno::dunno:

Yeah I'm with ya but I succumbed and now I`ve got 9 ft of drill press!! And you know what I just sit next to it and admire it even though it`s not wired up yet.

It's like that Kevin Costner movie " IF YOU BUY IT THE USE WILL COME"
Ha Ha
