Just wanted to check in and say Hello. I have been looking through GJ for a couple of years gathering ideas for my own "Punta Mancava" as my wife calls it. Actually it was her idea in the first place that a shop for me should be a priority.
So what we ended up with was a 40x60x16 building on the hill overlooking the bush and hayfield. Insulated, with tubing run for infloor radiant slab heating. Not everything is done yet, after all we have a farm to run but its getting there. Even without heat this past winter it only got to 32F inside once and that was when it was -18F here.

Its been hard to come back in the house now...

Thanks to all who have built or are building their shops, it has been a great help and resource for my build.

James

Welcome to GJ, James. With priorities like that, sounds like you've got a keeper.

Congrats on the new shop! It should be big enough to get you started :lol_hitti

Thanks for the comments guys. She is definitely a keeper, and the better half too! :) Got a little more wiring to do in the shop and run air lines to the south side of the shop.
I have 2 Scouts, a 1980 Scout ll and 1979 SSll that have serious rust issues but complete. Future projects? I would like to get one of them on the road again, winter is long here and you never know.
Other projects on my wish list include a spot for the power hammer, forge and a big cast iron table that came out of International Harvester plant in Hamilton when it closed but that may have to wait.
It doesn't take long for things to get filled up!
