Another car lift!

Hi! while continuing to look for car lifts other than the Maxjax, I came across this! Unfortuntely it doesn't go quite as high as I'd like and it's a little costly, but it's a very unique idea! Perhaps one could raise a car higher with blocks or something, but is definitely higher than I can get with my floor jack!

I saw this not to long ago browsing around. Doesn't look like too bad of a product other than the bowing in the middle, since it's portable it would be great for track day events.

The video said more under body access than with jack stands, that's a bold claim that isn't true at all. And when pushing on the red truck to show how sturdy it is the rear tires are still touching the ground, you can the bed shake but the tire doesn't... funny.

Too bad it's $2000 start + extra on shipping and accessories. You're in real 2/4 post lift territory at that price range. Hard to see the value unless maybe for a rental home/townhouse garage, even then I'd still look at hydro scissor lifts unless you need to carry it around in a honda accord like the guy in the video..

It is cool though. I like seeing ideas/products of all types.. If it was in the $500-$800 dollar range it would be a much better value. But I'm sure it has a $2000+ value to someone out there.

For much less than that you could get a good hydraulic scissor lift and get the vehicle much higher with more access. It looks painfully slow too.

Exactly my feelings! Seems like they could have at least incorporated an electric motor to run it instead of having to use a drill! If he was such a great engineer, why not make the lift go just a little higher, say, 35"s! We always want more for less! lol

Why when the Max is the same price. IMHO, the Max is a more flexible tool. That thing is similar to that drive on ramp deal that you then jack up with a floor jack (cant find it on the net - sell around $999).

I've seen this before. The only real advantage is that it is truly portable-- you can use it at the racetrack or the autocross course, etc.

Other than that, it is too expensive for for what it does, as others have pointed out.

I can't see how you can justify the $1995 cost for this "tool" when for $1500 you can get a mid-rise Atlas, or at about $1900 or so the MaxJax. If this was priced in the $500 range I think you might something some folks could justify.

I feel like it is exactly like the MaxJax except only the price is the same and it has none of the other features. I would look at other Dannmar lifts if you looking for other options.

Don't get me wrong, I'm dead set on the MJ! I just need to get my garage in order, finish painting Mustang parts and re-assemble my mustang, install the liftmaster garage door opener~ good grief! Maybe I'll order the MJ after Christmas! But I'm always looking for "other" alternatives! never know when another lift may show up! The MJ is truly a beautiful lift(or handsome~you know!lol).

I wouldn't worry about I think everyone was just stressing the point that it was overpriced.

hm, they seem a little pricey, I just know what Maxjax can be purchased for(around 1999, to 2k$/free shipping). You have time on your hands and that's beneficial so you have time on your hands to shop shop shop!!
